The flaw in his argument

a new fiction?

The flaw in Barry's argument about 'First Amendment not applying to private companies' is that these companies were endorsed as the forums of choice by the hedge-fund and pension fund types who were chums of the Fed (the very well fed) eral employees, and local governance, government. In other words there was a defacto endorsement of these as the 'public fori' for open discussion by the 'powers that be': and Mr Barry knows this. It was always thus from day one, when the code was first installed on the first server of those companies that this was a choice premade by some anointed few (influencers) with FULL APPROVAL of the powers that be.

And thus became the defacto standard forum for speech, either pro or con, about policy and society, akin to the forums of old, where free speech was also supposed to be allowed (who supposed it?).

the point: as these were endorsed by the clown-town-guys and all of their enablers in congress, and in the White House, and they were thus utilized enmasse by town halls and police departments, and organizations of governance world wide for contact with citizens of their various and numerous municipalities, as that is the case, and that the 'owners' of these companies were often PUBLIC SERVICE pension funds and retirement accounts of governance/ and or/ government . . . (an incestuous bunch?) thus it is just by observation seen to be bogus that these entities were NOT endorsed by government. Thus these entites are seen by many as not private at all but could be seen by some to be self-dealing of insiders within government/governance who should have known better to not even seem to be presenting a conflict of interest (and self-dealing, a major financial karma-buster in the world of ethics and government).

Get real, Barry. You know full well the gist of what I say. And your answer "I'll just censor you."? or what? You know full well that self-dealing of insiders in government is a major moral failing. Also the First Ammendment does apply in every case. The theory of 'government is when I say so' doesn't work and is, in fact, the kind of tyranny that ammendments were trying to catalog and prevent.
