And did he ever even get to that part about 'helmet safety' and that the guy in the photo wasn't wearing one?
Oh, no, yet another topic for the echo factory to pretend that people care about and repeat over and over.
this is a lot more fun than wading in through the chan spam.

No one wants war.
Seriously, though, Dylan is an awesome poet.
No one wants war.
He's not a publicity hound. He's not looking for fame, nor does he seem to notice it too much, it's just the way the world is to him, I suppose, in one sense.
I remember he played with a bunch of different bands over a long range of years, and even was a real convert to an active church. I can't parrot out details but it all seems very authentic to me, a real man living a real life under the real influence of real love in a real world where most of us do not want war of any kind, and think, for the most part, that Russians have always been a part of the solution, and rarly the cause of any real problem. Except for maybe being there prepared for the worst case that doesn't ever come on account of their grand dilligence and excellence in the filed of intellect, battle? You've already lost the battle if you are on the wrong side of some things so that will always have to be considered when considering effective long-term and future allies.
The lurid and almost pornographic email dumps keep happening and I find myself using phrases that I'd rather not. We all already know the final outcome: Liberty and Democracy. Anyone or anything that impedes that is suspect to the intellect of the logical skeptics of the world, guarding over their own domains of mind, and not impressed by the cupidity and grand scheming of anyone. And are not impressed by the villainzation of a group or nation by temporary stewards of the public trust. The public is well aware of the mendacious and the trust-worthy. The public doesn't need a main stream. The rain is falling and it's made the whole world wet with the awareness of who and why and what and when. The out come of Liberty and Democracy is the outcome that will arrise. The details of that? The peaceful transition to a forward place where rule of law and the will, as garnered through democratic processes, gets to hold sway across the land.
With all laws applied equally to all citizens. The laws that do get applied, the statues of criminality that get enforced would be required to be enforced equally in a just system. Otherwise the system is out of equilibrium, in that strange dynamo of democratic expectation . System alway enter into states of equilibrium. A system of democratic rule of law, if it were disrupted from that, would have a form of reset, in a sense, to be expected due to the frustration concerning the violation of the rule of decent law, which imposes a dual system of unequal justice. The citizenry does not abide the injustice. Set the cameras, position the microphones. Cry for Justice. Liberty for the falsely imprisoned. Equity for the wage slaves. Justice for all poltical prisoners, general amnesty for crimes deemed by censors. All prisoners of conscience be let free, general jubilee.
No one wants war.
Can't you see that he's describing a bit from some old and lavish movie montage, all done up in smaller scale to have it be snowed on on christmas to get the expensive shot? It's all a hollywood minded delusion of appropriate behavior and this blogger is rahter more a bad novelist self-depricator who actually is disconnected from the Washingstoned yum fest and vender fair, cartel governance of international pleasant faces, who are mostly harmless and well intended and not worthy of being blamed for the mistakes of a criminally minded plan crafted generations ago for the subversion of nations, and how, when it had no more moral leadership, was let to go astray a yumming thoruhg the various places where they could slum their way forward, dreaming of teh higher cause and living wihtin the bad dementia of lost causes of the long ago, and worthy of a good life but unable to make a thought that doesn't involve revenge for some imaginary slight from some imagined past for some other people who are just a fiction of anthropolgical hoaksters or someone inside a dream he once had, passed out on a beach in another dream, where he's passed out on a mountain and another dream where he is passed out in a valley, another in a giant orbitting ring, in the sky, somewhere once below the deep water, and inside his other dream that he's having again. None of it was really happening.
But if you are just trying to write that song, that magic hit, that sets everybody dancing? Rock in roll wins the biggest prize of all. If anyone is dancing and rocking away the fear and worry, and gathering together in respectful dance, everyone's having a good time? No one says who is the this, who is the that? There is no BS like that in such a scene. Bob Dylin on a thousand different stages, and a lot of people dancing. Rock-n-Roll gets the peace prize. Bob gets the poetry one in literature. Life as poetry? It's not that. The authentic living of life by a real poetic guy? Oh how we gush. Real people are real and it's hard to be gushy when they could really come and strole down your lane. A real guy in a real world on a real day in New Jersey just stroling down the street. Let's not have a war. Rock N Roll wins the peace prize.

The whole crowd is getting jiggity-oh ewe ah ewe ah ewe ah ewe ah
If every body starts rocking who is it that can be dropping bombs? If the lyrics are a bummer who is it that would sing your songs? or sing along we must be strong and stand to gether in all kinds of weather in the mist or in the cold if the mission's long the wind is cold when the seas are rough and the goings tough we know who are our friends blah blah anthem song blah blah antehm song let's not have a war blah blah blah blah let's have war no more. blah blah blah blah blah anthem song ancient cause let's not have a war I really mean it he really means it. The Zapp ppa voice over quality doesn't take away from the song this is a live performance, he's got it going on. He doesn't need to take it to be baudy the bedroom or to say . . . here we are togther solay lady layIts not that we mean blah blah in disrespect to the ones who let out the blah blah call that many then condemn we mean blah blah, that imperial we if you point it out now I'll say , "oh, not we." And as if it's hard to understand what it is that he might mean he might continue to inquire who made her the queen? her him or question mark? I have no questions for Mark. No, question mark, that you put at the end of a sentence. Is there something didactic, some urgent urge of the day thing that you have to point out now, on this 14th day of October, oh ye blogger, ranter, quick typest? Yes: Let's not have a War! Scrared, are yeee? No not ye yar no not ye yar yar wrong to say ye yar. No not ye yar no not ye yar no not yar wrong to say ye yar no not ya yar ya yar no not Scared? Nuclear War? Scared Declared not scared Rock and Roll wins the Peace Prize Praise the Lord for all Alive! Rock and Roll takes the cake praise the lord for all who bake? But isn't too much sugar a cause of obesity? Oh you PC fool Praise the lord for all who druell And just for people in general, really, right? Rock and Roll and electric guitars tries to let us here the stars You don't mean stars of stage and screen? why you so interested in what I mean? Believe me no one is then why you here? what gives. The banter of constant self deprication ends with a thud and a call once again, at the end of the rant what was trying to be lyrics to a song that admitedly, within the lyrics confesses that no one should ever sing this song except perhaps as some literary example of how not to behave in a real world situation and take it to the graveyard of a Dicken's novel quality Christmas Angels of the long ago come to you and dance within the snow of a snow globe that you are lucky enough to have it hovers nearby in your room above the big trees and far away lawns of the well manacured landscape horizons of rooftops and quant buildings where happy people live. No back story. Cause at Christmas everyone is happy they've stilled their rage They've stilled their rage if they had any they've stilled the rage and turned the page. The poem ends at the end clearly a 'bad poem' now, words don't rhyme no particular rythume to anything not suitible for performance at a grade school not going to be given a mention at the scholarly meeting . . . He finishes. It's done now the people have to help themselves. The only way to rule is to let the people rule themsleves. If you need to 'impose rule' you've already failed as leaders. Perhaps negotiations are in order. Ask those who you think need rule and ask them what the rules are. Or just watch, and figure it out. The world figures out the way it works and a lot of that happens without the imposition of the urge of the day governance and on message pukes (like this blogger?) blah . . . let's not have a war.
Unmongering I hate your ugly new word Unmongering a word that's too absurd unmongering think of a better phrase unmongering being a word smith rarly pays because you don't know the business?
ewe ah it's a due dang diggy I know I know I know I know
how about an excerpt? Blah . . .end if excerpt
Be your own Nememsis
Instead of trying to attack and destroy the people who you imagine have deep held fallacies that you loath, do that to yourself and attack the fallacy that you ahve the right or obligation to do such an attack on some other person. Be your own worst enemy in the sense that when you deserve to loose the debate, your own best interests will kick in and demand that you adhere to truth and reject fallacy and thus loose, in one sense, but win a much better future in every other sense. Be your own nemesis and demand that you adhere to the values that matter, and give truth and only truth as testimony with in the courts of great importance.
But even that inner skeptic needs his voice tamed. Sometimes overthinking things results in mission failure. Sometimes it really is time to launch and hesitation is mission failure. With some things, like nuclear weapons, any launch or use, or even testing or development of them is mission failure. It is societal failure of the gravest kind. The use of these devices is well known to be taboo. Even discussin their use or none use, like this here, can only be presented by the friendliest of expectations.
Replace Your Own Bad ideas
Instead of trying to replace the bad ideas of your readers for some fowl paid-for message, and being a shill, replace your own fallacies with truth and be of the future.

All that I ask in this 54 year old song is that you be your own unmongering . . . isn't that rather a lot to ask for? All that I ask in yet another verse is that you can be kinder when you converse I'm not pulling any punches. All that I ask is let her get away she'd rather be free even if not with me. She's not your girl She's not your girl you can't call her that and if you do you'll have a spat she'll call you out she won't need to shout so don't you start Don't try to bruise her heart. She's not your girl She won't dance with you there's no talking about it or getting through she's already betrothed by what her father owed she's not for you not your dream come true. And if you call her a girl she'll call you out and make you explain, she's not going to shout she's be calm, without passion not dining and dashing she never means harm she's not down on that farm And if you call her a girl or say she's your baby she'll call you out and well, then, just maybe you'll be hearing it then the sound of her Zen She can't be your girl but she will be your friend. She'll be speaking really kind just speaking her mind explain about her fiancee and the expectation of the wedding day and if you can come she might just know someone . . . who won't be your girl but she might be your friend. And if you call her a girl she'll be starting that whirl she'll gall you right out whe won't need to shout She'll dancing you along the scene will be grand and long she can't be your girl but she still be your friend and her beau will be jealous but that won't be the end not the end of you because he'll be your friend too. Nations Nations dancing if you can't be married to me and I can't be married to you that doesn't mean that we have to fight we really don't need to Nations dancing doing the lovers dance if you can't be married to me then I can still take a chance with somebody else and that will be how we contend but there is one thing, the respect need not end let's part ways, or so they say, and bless you through all days, and when people owe, they usually pay. If the poet is too aware that the manic movement is upon him he shunts the crazy rantings and deletes when he shouldn't delete imagining someone taking offense to his automatica of writing just phrases, burning off hours, wishing for better outcomes, writing a better story: The more I delete, the less I repeat content is not that hard but it's not easy either. Think of all the thoughts that you can't ever have and post all of those. Trip trap da dant da da trip trap take it back trip trap da dant da da trip trap da da dant Trip trap da dant da da trip trap take it back trip trap da dant da da words aren't made of stone. Ahhh, I got . . . nothing
Maybe I should put that last paragraph as a quote, though I don't know who I'm quoting. It gotta be a famous line from . . . ? Hollywood? Ahhh, I got . . . nothing
. I'm just mimicing what I find humorous.
You got a problem with that?
OK, that's another famous line.
The election will soon be over and the problems of the world will mostly be the same.

as an example . . . I have tried to do some introspective things as I come into awareness of my own flaws, and recognize the way I act and correct my self and make a better narrative for myself and for others.
you raise me up from far away when a memory of you lifts me!
Somethings never change nothing need stay the same ah, but on a website the constant change is kind-of the point . . .
change without continuity and tradition is often very hard to manage for those thrust into it. And thus the frame of things gives a place for the change to happen. If you violate that idea then you are coming up with something completely different and maybe no one will want to see your new idea, or use your great, new venue, because it's too far out, and very far away from what they currently care about. It's a nether or a meta and it's merely for a lark? Or does it become the next big thing? As fun as graphics are (CGI) and animation, and making a world to fly around in (like minetest, which is easy when you learn how) ultimately such a meta is a hollow place. It's a distraction during the season of gaming. It allows one to brush up on geometry and math, and architectural design, it gives people training in computer languages, it allows someone to make some graphical ideas, and pass a few hours of time every few days or so . . .
To live within such a realm really isn't possible.

After 40 different versions what can one say about it anymore? It's installed in all my systems, a day earlier. There are a few minor issues, but no show stoppers.
I did some stuff with lvm to resize a root area. That took a very long time. It's on a machine that maybe just should be retired . . .

Ya, I decided to load Fedora Core 38 Beta about a month ago, and this machine kept shutting down . . . I think I finally fixed it. Tomorrow is the big release day for the Fedora Core 38. My production workstation is still running FC37. I don't know if I'll jump right on it right away. . .
my server is still resetting, or maybe I have it fixed. I decided to just remove plasma-desktop, as I don't use it. The journals were giving all kinds of errors with that, and I think that might have been the issue, conflicting with the gdm that I do use. Worst case I'd just go to runlevel 3 but, as I said in another column, I don't really even know if anyone views these pages anyway.
My production box would upgrade but the dnf says it would downgrade grum and associated tools, and that's never a good thing to do. I'm just not going to do it! anyway I'll check tomorrow when the offical release is and probably do it then. If I'm in the mood.
So now I've run every version of Fedora serving this website! that's a long time.
April 17, 2023 8:28 PM ESThere is from a year ago:
It took some time to figure out how to defeat the new screensaver built in, but I was able to. It's the biggest downside to the new Gnome.
I set the keybindings to something I don't use, and then put in a custom keybinding to use the old tool.
There are other minor things that annoy too, like the restoration of a deleted file that I always have to delete again on every FC core upgrade. The file is name camera-shutte.oga. It's in /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo

At the precipice of coding.
a mountain trail often has a place with a great view and a perilous fall if you wonder just a bit too far to one side of the trail. It's called a precipice. It's not a scary place. It's a safe place that one passes through.
OK, so I've done an update to FC34.
the biggest issue was . . . . drum roll . . .a lock up of gnome.
and if i clicked on the activities button I would need to reload (log out log back in).
I was able to run stuff without that, and thus determined a list of files that might need to be removed. I did as full reinstall of gnome as such:
dnf reinstall gnome
then I did a
dnf list installed |grep fc33
which gave me a list of files to consider uninstalling.
from that I got the following:
first odd issue:
sudo was not at first working! I had to install it! I kept the configuration file so I have my preferences still set up.
dnf install sudo dnf reinstall gnome-* dnf reinstall kde* dnf reinstall NetworkManager* dnf remove gnome-screensaver dnf remove gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-20.04.0-2.fc33.noarch dnf remove xorg-x11-xkb-extras-7.7-33.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove compat-openssl10-1:1.0.2o-11.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove mozjs60-60.9.0-7.fc33.x86_64
there are still some fc33 packages, (I also looked for fc32 packages, anything older that was gnome)
sudo dnf list installed |grep fc33 biber.noarch 2.14-4.fc33 @fedora gamin.x86_64 0.1.10-37.fc33 @fedora libgta.x86_64 1.0.9-5.fc33 @fedora
if removing a package also removed large numbers of other packages, I left it. For each of the few that I did remove, I always would make sure by reading what would happen before agreeing to the transaction.
now the gnome-shell is working and it doesn't lock up. So which of the packages that I removed made the difference? I am not sure.
and so after just a few short hours of install, I've got my system working in away that seems normal.
the new gnome shell moves the icons to the bottom of the screen.
I find gnome-shell to be annoyingly poppy at times. I tend to do things rapidly, and all the popping can be nauseating.
It is helpful to learn how to use dnf. I've found that the reverse history stuff works as long as you haven't made too many changes. It's a dicey, though, to try and go back to an older revision but I did it ONCE. Next time it didn't work out so well. AT that point it was installing dnf and yum from rpms.
and I had success. It's the kind of thing that when you know how to do it . . .
but there was one other trick that I needed and it was a scary way to reset a password and I did discover how to do it. I'm not sharing that one (barely remember) it's like these things exist in a nether, and it's best to . . . let the knowledge fade unless you need it. It's too scary to dwell in that space.
anyway, gnome shell is working. It's not flighty and hanging up. And all it took was to remove the old packages of gnome that might conflict with it. And now I can continue with my review.
