The Pigs Are More Equal Than the Others

Aug 5, 2013

As far as I can gather Obamaum, who does not like to follow the law, has decided (and so it has been decreed) that members of congress, and their 'more equal than others' staffers do not have to pay the full cost of their health insurance as the law requires. It will be interesting to see if these people will be forced to admit that they knew that this might be illegal. Will there now be possible racketeering charges against them for willfully charging the government for services which the law does not allow? Or do they all do a group amnesia and forget all about it: "let us have our king" perhaps they will chant.

In any case one would hope that the non-Democrats would at least respect the law and not take this illegal (so it seems from what I have read) handout. Will anyone sue to stop this?

It will be a show or will it all just be forgotten?

Tell them when they are wrong and breaking the law!

I have a slew of demos on my demo page. Here is the link to my DEMOS page.

Geesh, I've flown far and away today,
       haven't I?

Freshness is cleaning it up

At ridge lines often, at tourist vistas, the highway department, or park department, of either Federal, State, or Local will place Sceanic Vista binoculars that the public and use (sometimes for a fee) to get a telescopic view of the surrounding countryside. The Vistas of the horizon are revealed in greater detail. This a photograph on one such device at a knoll on a ridgeline along the Mohawk Trail, Rt 2 in Massachusetts up in the mountains. © 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 APC APC

some day
Here is something from the I Ching
䷠Retreat. Regroup, rest, gather strengh.

The sequence of Heaven and Earth
The dominoes of human karma

"Socialism, Communism, and Capitalism
               oh my"

  "Dorethy?
        Dorethy?
don't you think you should rush
 right home after the theater?
  Dorethy?"

     "Hall-all-lluu"

I'm working on it in my mind, thinking about how to make the music play and the strings to twang along.

Praise the Lord for his unfailing love.

Praise the Lord just because you love Him!

Praise the Lord!

I go in spurts, in tune with the rhythms of life. Sometimes I'm better at one thing, other times I'm better at others. Lately I've been wanting to read, and not just crap from the Internet (an oxymoron? It could become that, I suppose).

Often times I'll go to the book sites and just read the reviews. If it's a controversial book from the 1930's that might have tidbits of delicious Historical gossip about the true and naughty-nature of economies and Economists, then I can probably find all that I need to know in the reviews.

I like to buy the books where the whole story or concepts in the book can not be explained by a short biography on the Know-it-all-apedia, or other such 'common cause' (of Socialism) sites. There is a materialism of ownership of 'the story' on such sites. The people who loiter there and claim ownership of the various articles are often banal glory-for-our-cause or very crass ra-ra-my-great-dead-benefactor-major-criminal-who-stole-more-silver-and-gold-than-you-can-even-count ancestors (yes, they are many of them out there guarding the 'legacy' of the ill-gotten wealth: the sionship of their clan. Many of these people may be perfectly nice, and make good choices for spouses, but you are marrying into a cart-load of crazy)

I've been reading a book by . . . and one by . . . I guess if I say I sound like a name-dropping moron, a literary sycophant, a wanna-be scholar kiss-ass. I guess I keep expecting that someone will say "ya, we saw you are prolific on your site, so why don't you come and write for us?" But I don't do the most basic aspects of marketing this stuff . . . I have intentional amnesia about marketing and commercialization not because these things are bad (they are necessary and useful and actually kind of fun) but because that is not what I do. I am not a person who commoditizes good ideas or who tries to capitalize on other peoples needs.

I was actually a fairly OK salesman as long as I was directing people to purchase the things that would make things better for them. If I were trying to direct them to do things that were possibly damaging to them, I wouldn't be so good at it. I was always good at being able to ascertain what the clients real needs were and then I'd try to direct the client to the low cost solution that would bring them optimal success (the way engineers are trained to think). That way they would have money for other projects. So, for example, if I were selling things to government I would be this moral good-boy who doesn't try to overrun the contract and add a lot of overhead and pad it, fill it up with relatives and friends in unneeded posts. But that is how it works in most cases. People expect that. Why put up with regressive dictatorial a-hoes as bosses (like you do when you work for some governments or institutions) if there were not some kind of kick back to you? I couldn't put up with it so I got out of government.

Back when I was at the factory
she would sit and talk to me
    about the far-away containers
         drift along the sea

Back when she was down at the channel way
with that giant Florida view of the giant bay
   she'd watch the containers
         float along the sea
    far horizon span
        in the way off, beyond.

  But back at the factory
      in the fall she
can only wait for the call
      tickets on a plane
to her condo in the sky
      where she goes to live
        and sometimes to die.

She told me his name and
       why they aren't together.
    She made it very plain:
        she couldn't stand the weather.

And when I showed her photos
        of the pacific glow
      and container ships
   as they come and go
      through the Golden Gate
     and into the Bay
     she thought a while
      and then she said
            she's got to go there
          before she wed.

   I went back to my
      cloistered room
    and wrote robotics software
        for bride and groom.

I got nothing more
