It's a hard world that we live in. If it weren't, we wouldn't be able to walk around. It's not a marshmallow world.

The news is full of personalities who have little concern for following the rules. That is fine for rebels in entertainment. Or for athletes at a dance party. But it is not for politicians and office holders.

Our nation is full of 300, or more, million people. If we need to have a woman as the very next president, (but I think that idea is bigoted, the idea that it 'has to be that'), then can we find someone who doesn't need a pardon?

Anyone who wants to be president ought to be considered very carefully. Is this desire a lust for power? Is it a quest to make things correct? In the case of someone who is a success by their own means the 'want' may indicate that this person believes that he/she/? can make things better. In the case of someone who has already had a bite at the apple of power, the lust to be president seems to show a crass and brassy personality, some one who is all 'do as I say or I will bully you.' Such a person doesn't see the wart of lust-for-power that is growing out of the end of their nose. Such a person needs to get some wart remover. Press-shaming might be in order.

Everyone has some kind of wart of personality that he/she/? works on, or doesn't. We tend to pretend it doesn't exist, and we don't want to be reminded of it. So if my friend goes out to smoke a cigarette when he's told me a million times that he is quitting I said something. "Can I drive him half way through Saturday to the special store so he can get the special nicotine liquid that he puts in his electronic cigarette?" he had asked me one weekend. So I drove him there. He spent a lot of money on it. And now he's back to smoking real cigarettes. He's out huffing butts on his ice covered porch, wet drips from the melting snow splashing on his cotton tee shirt. The smell of nicotine will be on him for the rest of the evening. I just have to say 'oh, well, whatever'.

So I do. It's harmless.

But when it's the nicotine-of-lust-for-power, and the candidate smokes that, what she/?/he is doing is not mostly harmless, though a personally self-destructive thing. She/?/he is trying to rule the country. She/?/he needs to be told "look it, you smell like the nicotine-of-lust-for-power, It's all over your pants suit. I know you don't like to spend time in the kitchen, and you deride 'cookie makers', but, really, can't you see what an ass you come off as with these latest revelations? Don't you understand how you seem married to notions of total hypocrisy: you demanded a different set of rules for yourself than for others. Not cool when you are working for the government. That is called discrimination. As an officer of the bureaucracy you should have been working to end that kind of mismanagement, and dereliction of power.

But you didn't.

Does this sound like anyone you know? Because I'm telling you, how can such a person be real?

And if her/his/? answer is in the form of 'what possible difference can it make', the bully's answer, (because she doesn't do 'accountability'), then say "that applies to her/him/? running for president too. Why you? Why does it need to be you?" Clearly, readers, it does not need to be her. At this point I would say, and this is only my opinion, that it should not be her. Why? Because that undermines the notion that democracy works: when people who don't bother to follow the laws themselves get to be in charge, no one believes that the institution is worth anything anymore.

Does a Marxist believe in the cult of personality? If one really believes in the march of civilization away from the rule of money-grubbers and unworthy heirs of corrupt fortunes (the rhetoric of the good Marxist), then why furiously work in the other direction? If you really were a Marxist you would loath the cult of personality, the 'it has to be this one, and only this one.'

But leftism, and causes of a 'feel-good' nature, that pretend to help, are really very useful to get people elected. And, ya, a power junkie might not know the 'cause' is false. The people around him/her/? want him/her/? in power so that they can live off the fat of the office.

Or they might not care. Maybe they just like her/him/?. One thing is clear: the delusion of a hive can be strong. When they think she/he/? is a shoe-in, there is not telling what they might conjour up as excuses for her/him/?. They want her. They need her. They have to have her. (they want him. They need him. They have to have him.) They want ?. They need ?. They have to have ?. In this case

note: ? is the pronoun for use with unknown gender. Doesn't really work, does it?

Which proves it once again: people who would behave as such are only pretending to be Leftists and Marxists. The real deal may be that they are sycophants mongering for a coronation for their queen. (king, queen, sovereign)

Would anyone be so ridiculous? How could I be writing about anyone real? If people were so ridiculous, wouldn't they see it in themselves and change their behaviors? Sometimes yes. Sometimes no.
