And did he ever even get to that part about 'helmet safety' and that the guy in the photo wasn't wearing one?
Oh, no, yet another topic for the echo factory to pretend that people care about and repeat over and over.
this is a lot more fun than wading in through the chan spam.

Remember don't click through in the comments unless you are to be bite by a popup and a cheep attempt to exploit, condemn, ridicule or humiliate. It's not always that, but most of the time it is.
If it's the main part, and the link is there, it's probably really something. The person who posts it can be known. If it links to debased crap, then don't bother reading the comment or clicking through. (crap is a technical internet-publishers term meaning 'fowl and debased content of a very puerile or slanderous bend that has no easy link back to the posters, and no other purpose but nefarious scoffing or humiliation, or porn mongering, or hate and ethnicity mongering for false cause). a usage example: Your definition of 'crap' is crap.
usage example: most comments in comments sections, since at least 2007, have been crap.
Worst Academics
they won't all be like this
note: some might not allow such a succinct term for use by their plebes. You don't want to use the term 'crap' in an academic essay. Suggestion for writing students: if you have a degenerate professor who is part of an indoctrination crew you might learn to pander to their expectations as a way to improve your grades. My suggestion is if you get stuck in such a class don't let them bait you and expose your real opinions about their crap, instead get the grade and live through it. If you can drop such a professor that is your best option. Don't patronize the apparatchiks of the failed order-tocracy. They are ineffectual drones, themselves, and really ought to be pitied and prayed for. But don't tell them you think this because it will make them hate you even more. The way to tell such a poor professor is that they do express hatred towards 'opposition' they want you to 'resist' but they won't let you decide what it is to resist. Don't play their game. Resisting them is playing their game. They are trying to teach. They are stuck within a broken system. They are drones of the failed regime that is in the midst of collapsing. Don't kick them in their muddy banks and make clumps of their personage fall calamitously into the gurgling sea as their false temple, their virtual Atlantis, sinks beneath the waves.
Pray for them. Don't play their game. Drop their course. Change your major if you have to.
pray for yourself for being so judgemental of your professors. the way that you hate your professors is crap. the way that you hate anyone is crap.
The form of the statement 'the way that you hate anyone is crap', is fully idiomatic, and yet charged with meaning. It's the kind of meaning of selfrightgous crap. Just because something is crap doesn't mean that it's not real.
OK, so if we have the theory of everyone as being potentially able to produce 'crap', then everyone must alos have a requiste septic system for the disposal of their crap.
I am tempted to talk about Kathy Griffin, and the idea of media presentations that are a higher class of crap: complete and total crap. In the case of Kate, can I call her kate? Kiss me? Kissemee? In any case in the case of her she got involved with a iconographic presentation of taboo images. But the images are not illegal in a legal sense for courts in America. However, this is a good example of how tastelessness is not prohibited but we (we, me and my consel) highly suggest that you destroy all the copy. Yes, it's not censorship when an artist (yes, Kathy Griffin is really an artist, barf, finger to throat motion). it's not censorship when an artist decides, at the end of the session, "ya know what, this is total and complete crap and let's just destroy all the copies, delete all the files. pulverize all the props. Don't release details of the shoot. Tell all pressers to depress. Delete delete delete.
Oh, get over it. Ya, she plays the victim. But she's almost doing it as a bit. She's always played that part. Maybe, in her real persona, her off screen persona, she is someone completely different? You know she's doing a bit, right? So any way she has free speech as provided by our constitution, but free speech doesn't disallow the reaction that your vile putrid presentations of total and complete crap. Yes, you are free to torpedo your own career.
Why was what she did so taboo and tasteless?
There is a quality of such images being curses upon those depicted. In the case of this no curse upon who that she protrayed as slain, but she cursed her self with the image. If she had tried to make it into a prayer? She could have down something better. She could have had a statue of the presidon and had flowers growing out of his eyes, converted from potty mouth lockerroom boasting talk of a braggart, who likes to show off, into being someone who has seen the error of his ways. Insted of her subject being a worst case, he could have been an other example of someone who, like Saint Paul, was a sinner but now is saved. No, she went for the lower. She didn't understand that the horror genre is common in zombie hollywierd, but moshing doesn't work in politics. If her visuals were a kind of political moshing, she knows it now, and that's it is toxic to do such vile imagery. It's not halloween. He's a real guy with impressionable children who need to be firewalled from such vile imagery. She knew what she wsa doing but the whole thing almost seems to be stage show, a message to the world to not take things too far. A message that she gives to show everyone who might do such that imagery like that is, while technically 'protected speech', publishing such imagery so it's available to children of those depicted crosses a lot sociological boundries and is in very very bad taste. Essentially though, such bad karma imagery is curse against the producers of such grusomeness.
And so, yes, we have free speech. We are free to curse ourselves by publishing what seem to be curses agasint others. The bad karma nature of such cursing means that the curser is the one who actually gets the force of the curse. So she self-cursed. But don't worry, Kathy, all curses can be broken. I suggeset you go to the man himself and ask him for forgiveness for what you did and stop staying that he's trying to ruin your career. It wouldn'tmatter who the president is, if anyone puts out images like that with the depiction of any world leader, of any country, or living people, well, Kathy, you ought to know what happens to them.
My point: she is doing a bit. She is showing the world how not to behave. She has raised the polemical bar. Her mistake . . . is a teachible moment. She's almost a Stewart Smiley character by now: ideologically overzealous and bent to delusions. It's a bit. A schtick. And in very very poor taste. Should her career be over? Of course not.
In modern fiction there ought to be always room for the character of the shrivelled up shrew ideologue, because if it's descriptive fiction . . . then of course there can still be a part for her in sit coms.
Now, Kathy, don't get mad. Cause I love Donald. And I also love you. But I only love the two of you as people who I know about. In your case what you did is a lesson to others. You demonstrated why vile imagery ought not depict real people. images of decapitation are treated in a similar way to people who slander He who Peace be upon. Is it wrong for people to over react? They feel it's wrong for slander to be conveyed, so they say it's wrong to under react. Should the solution ever be violence? I say never. btu if you slander He who Peace be upon you kind of know what will happen to you. It's not just slandering a specific person that is wroing, but slandering anyone. We are free, in our codes of Western 'free speech' to curse others. But the code of Christianity seems to show us that such things, if you are doing it, are actually cursing yourself.
So, Kathy, it's your own fault if you used your free speech to curse yourself.

Kafka wrote comedy. Orwell was a pessimist. Depends who you ask.
Imagine if they both could have lived and made it to Los Angeles, post war, and been collaborators on writing romantic screwball comedies for Hollywood. If we search IMDB for movies written by Kafka, or by Orwell, will we find one? I kind of doubt it.
The dangers of nuclear arms are clear. Who denies it?
I'm not a fan of knee jerk militarism.
The Military man, however, yes, call me a fan of him. The military man is one who doesn't want what he knows how to deter. The necessity of such a man becomes clear in times of turmoil. The knee-jerk activity of quick at the trigger failed-diplomacy . . . ought not happen in a way that makes grand headlines and draws irrevocable condemnation. Diplomacy without the modivation to behave. That might be called negotiating from weakness. But if, and when, people become unhinged, the negotiation is not as important as a battoning down of hatches, storm is ccoming, acting like a large sea will rise, and every one secure it for the storm . . .
We survive. There is an old film about a boy who told everyone that he knew how to build a bell. But he was lying. And in the end he had to do what he did to survive, and alos to work through the grief of loosing his family to slavers and foreign invaders. This film had some very difficult scenes spliced within, for example one where a horse is being forced out a door onto a balcony in a tower, way up high. the scene, brillient in a cinematographic way, raised eyebrows in the film community when this movie hit the circuit sometime mid century (circa 1960).
We survive. We survived all of that, and the constant suck that has been going on for the last 150 or so years. We've survived.
And if things are lost, they can be found.

Praise The Lord for insight given!
as an example . . . I have tried to do some introspective things as I come into awareness of my own flaws, and recognize the way I act and correct my self and make a better narrative for myself and for others.
you raise me up from far away when a memory of you lifts me!
Somethings never change nothing need stay the same ah, but on a website the constant change is kind-of the point . . .
change without continuity and tradition is often very hard to manage for those thrust into it. And thus the frame of things gives a place for the change to happen. If you violate that idea then you are coming up with something completely different and maybe no one will want to see your new idea, or use your great, new venue, because it's too far out, and very far away from what they currently care about. It's a nether or a meta and it's merely for a lark? Or does it become the next big thing? As fun as graphics are (CGI) and animation, and making a world to fly around in (like minetest, which is easy when you learn how) ultimately such a meta is a hollow place. It's a distraction during the season of gaming. It allows one to brush up on geometry and math, and architectural design, it gives people training in computer languages, it allows someone to make some graphical ideas, and pass a few hours of time every few days or so . . .
To live within such a realm really isn't possible.

After 40 different versions what can one say about it anymore? It's installed in all my systems, a day earlier. There are a few minor issues, but no show stoppers.
I did some stuff with lvm to resize a root area. That took a very long time. It's on a machine that maybe just should be retired . . .

Ya, I decided to load Fedora Core 38 Beta about a month ago, and this machine kept shutting down . . . I think I finally fixed it. Tomorrow is the big release day for the Fedora Core 38. My production workstation is still running FC37. I don't know if I'll jump right on it right away. . .
my server is still resetting, or maybe I have it fixed. I decided to just remove plasma-desktop, as I don't use it. The journals were giving all kinds of errors with that, and I think that might have been the issue, conflicting with the gdm that I do use. Worst case I'd just go to runlevel 3 but, as I said in another column, I don't really even know if anyone views these pages anyway.
My production box would upgrade but the dnf says it would downgrade grum and associated tools, and that's never a good thing to do. I'm just not going to do it! anyway I'll check tomorrow when the offical release is and probably do it then. If I'm in the mood.
So now I've run every version of Fedora serving this website! that's a long time.
April 17, 2023 8:28 PM ESThere is from a year ago:
It took some time to figure out how to defeat the new screensaver built in, but I was able to. It's the biggest downside to the new Gnome.
I set the keybindings to something I don't use, and then put in a custom keybinding to use the old tool.
There are other minor things that annoy too, like the restoration of a deleted file that I always have to delete again on every FC core upgrade. The file is name camera-shutte.oga. It's in /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo

At the precipice of coding.
a mountain trail often has a place with a great view and a perilous fall if you wonder just a bit too far to one side of the trail. It's called a precipice. It's not a scary place. It's a safe place that one passes through.
OK, so I've done an update to FC34.
the biggest issue was . . . . drum roll . . .a lock up of gnome.
and if i clicked on the activities button I would need to reload (log out log back in).
I was able to run stuff without that, and thus determined a list of files that might need to be removed. I did as full reinstall of gnome as such:
dnf reinstall gnome
then I did a
dnf list installed |grep fc33
which gave me a list of files to consider uninstalling.
from that I got the following:
first odd issue:
sudo was not at first working! I had to install it! I kept the configuration file so I have my preferences still set up.
dnf install sudo dnf reinstall gnome-* dnf reinstall kde* dnf reinstall NetworkManager* dnf remove gnome-screensaver dnf remove gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-20.04.0-2.fc33.noarch dnf remove xorg-x11-xkb-extras-7.7-33.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove compat-openssl10-1:1.0.2o-11.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove mozjs60-60.9.0-7.fc33.x86_64
there are still some fc33 packages, (I also looked for fc32 packages, anything older that was gnome)
sudo dnf list installed |grep fc33 biber.noarch 2.14-4.fc33 @fedora gamin.x86_64 0.1.10-37.fc33 @fedora libgta.x86_64 1.0.9-5.fc33 @fedora
if removing a package also removed large numbers of other packages, I left it. For each of the few that I did remove, I always would make sure by reading what would happen before agreeing to the transaction.
now the gnome-shell is working and it doesn't lock up. So which of the packages that I removed made the difference? I am not sure.
and so after just a few short hours of install, I've got my system working in away that seems normal.
the new gnome shell moves the icons to the bottom of the screen.
I find gnome-shell to be annoyingly poppy at times. I tend to do things rapidly, and all the popping can be nauseating.
It is helpful to learn how to use dnf. I've found that the reverse history stuff works as long as you haven't made too many changes. It's a dicey, though, to try and go back to an older revision but I did it ONCE. Next time it didn't work out so well. AT that point it was installing dnf and yum from rpms.
and I had success. It's the kind of thing that when you know how to do it . . .
but there was one other trick that I needed and it was a scary way to reset a password and I did discover how to do it. I'm not sharing that one (barely remember) it's like these things exist in a nether, and it's best to . . . let the knowledge fade unless you need it. It's too scary to dwell in that space.
anyway, gnome shell is working. It's not flighty and hanging up. And all it took was to remove the old packages of gnome that might conflict with it. And now I can continue with my review.
