And did he ever even get to that part about 'helmet safety' and that the guy in the photo wasn't wearing one?
Oh, no, yet another topic for the echo factory to pretend that people care about and repeat over and over.
this is a lot more fun than wading in through the chan spam.

He killed a lot of people. A lot of people. He's in hell now
He killed a lot of people. A lot of people. He's in hell now
In line, at the Market Basket, this morning, a man picked up the paper and saw a picture of . . .
Probably more than 50 % of the people there spoke Spanish as their first language. But a lot of them speak Portugeuse. And English, of course. Other languages you might hear? Just about any at all, because Market Basket, in Ashland, and all around, attracts all kinds. I've noticed, too, that hte people who work there usually are there for a very very long time.
Talking poltiics is always tough in a grocery line. People who shop are often hungry, that's why they are at the supermarket. And they might be grumppy, because it's Sunday morning and they have somewhere to be. Whatever. And if yo start smakc talking in line, you never know who you might incite. It's best to keep your political opinions in check in such a situation. So you might have expected that someone would have said soemthing to the guy. But it was like the person who did engage this 50 something gentleman did it from a consoling point of view. If this man came from Cuba, then he might have endure some hard turmoil on his initial voyage. So it's not a celebration of the person dieing, but a celebration for the justice that finally arrives for all of the victims of the depost. Not a happy one, but a solumn one. But celebritory, due the amount of victims of the tainted cause of the dead dictator, not just in Cuba, but everywhere.
And so I had mentined to someone and he said something about the end of WWII and when that dictator died, in April of 1945. Weren't the people whno were most pursecuted celebrating? Did 'the Jews', he asked, celebrate when Hitler died? Well, I told him, I don't know but that they were all mostly in mourning for the victims of the despot, their relatives who were murdered during the conflict by a political operation turned into a suicide death cult, divorced from the name, divorced from the concept of equality, divorced from humanity, embraching evil and totally insane. The shell-shocked way that it must have been, April 21, 1945, a day, yes, of liberation, but it's not a joyous liberation, becase there was so much work to do saving the people who weren't yet expired, and praying for miricles, that these things couldn't be as horrible as they seemed to be. Forensic evidence proved otherwise. Millions and millions of people perished during that war. The end of it was a celebration, but it may have been a solomn one for many, especially relatives of the victims, especially the Ashkanazi and other groups of Hebrew Speakers, who some call, lumping htem all together as if they are all congurenet in cause and additude (a horrid falacy that many might label as antisemitism), some call them 'The Jews', as if they have congruence of cause and mind. But maybe to others it means acceptance of noncongruence on some things, but congruence on the important matters of devotion to . . . the person whose name they never use.
What makes people good and bad seems not to be about moiety or clan or affiliation. Some moral fiber become apparent in their behavior. But even if we don't see it, we can't say that these others, these 'strangers', of some other tribe or clan, are some how 'wrong' or 'doing bad' or 'evil'. We can't say it when we don't know them, just by appearances. And if we try to understand, we might get it all wrong because of our own raw and fowl misconceptions. We, ourselves are flawed and immature about a lot of things. teh surity of a culture, or cause, gets lost in translation, due to culture shock and immersion in another society. The universal purpose of caring about other people includes caring about them to the point of letting them live their own lives without the threat of expropriation of their livelihoods. That is a global imperative that doesn't get lost, and all people wil give you the cry to let them be free if you encroach upon the bubble of belief, true or false? Is it your decision when you don't know the whole deal that htey know? You have no right to go tilting at other people's windmills unless y7ou are an officer of some leagal system, and that person is breaking important laws.
The reports about the Cuban dictator, annecdotal in a checkout line, are grim. Some say tens of thousands of victims of that dictatorship. And the same crime family is still in charge. And so, one of the reasons that so many of us urge you all to understand how Socialism often devolves into a tyranny when rule of law gets ignored. This is not a refutiation of the good that many Socialists have done for the world. And not an excuse for the horror of selfish behavior of collectives within the corporate world-view (some might use the noun 'delusion' instead of 'world-view').
I believe that people are mostly good, or think that they are doing good. And when they think that they are not, they usually feal remorse and reform. But what about the times those who are convinced of their righteousness do horrible acts of depravity and brutal supression of those who they delude oppose them? In the case of 'the revoluion', we see this in some situations, in some accounts. And, sadly, that side doesn't seem to do anykind of contrition to bring justice to the depraved of their team. American soliders have been brought oup on warcrimes, when has ever any Socialist soldier ever been? (I don't know. I'm asking. lazy me, doing no research).

Kafka wrote comedy. Orwell was a pessimist. Depends who you ask.
Imagine if they both could have lived and made it to Los Angeles, post war, and been collaborators on writing romantic screwball comedies for Hollywood. If we search IMDB for movies written by Kafka, or by Orwell, will we find one? I kind of doubt it.
Wow, can you believe he won? And now they do a recount to try and extort some power. Ya, it pays well to be a political hit-man. Lawyers need their money, right. Jill's running the scam.
Mr. Trump is running it well, so far. Hillary isn't suited to be the leader. If they claim that Trump now lost 'they' will have a tough job convincing us that it wasn't the election that got stolen, but the recount.
Maybe we should say that all workers for elections need to (have to be) volenteers. and so, while they can get money for the modest travel expense and stay in some government approved billoting, they, those most mendacaious of political operatives, the slap-suit election attorneys, can not get paid for their efforts. And make it even worse than that: that they must be paid but tht they are taxed at a 100% rate, and that they are forced to work it . . . OK, that is rediculous.
If Jill's efforts succeed and they overturn our election, then Jill will have to answer as to her motives. The orderly transition will occur, your revolution is over. Nothing they can do will convince the public that they have the best interesets of our country at heart. Socialists don't believe in countries, they want all borders gone for their solans to roam around and spred the manure of discontent and convince bright young ethnics that other types of ethnics are their enemies so that they can have their next colored revolution. But the age of revolution is over, Social media obsoletes the age of mendacious false-socialism spawned on by paid-for agitators and their pay-masters at the . . . institutions of ill-repute (and I'm not talking about prostetution). Call it presstitution. And the bought-and-paid for septic media (who take the tainted cash or pill-pot-prizes) had enabled all of this constant yumming, and over-the-top melodramatic race and ethnicity mongering, to will valuble prizes and a place at the favored beach on favored-beach-day.
Here their constant hum of yum:
Yum Yum Yum Gots ta get me some some some Yum Yum Yum Chewing on a plum plum plum Gots ta get me some Don't tell me that I'm dumb submissive for more pay I'll say what they say to say Yum Yum Yum Scampering for a crumb
Well, the most mendacious generation will continue with the constant buzz of lies out of their swamp hives, up in the trees that grow in the festerbog. Sad day for us when these extortioners can go on with their incitement methods. Their fraud is their utter lack of actual concern for the well-being of this nation and their overwhelming and fetishistic (not fascistic, but fetishistic) over weaning concern for the urges of Socialist International (not the modern day) from 1870's. (Alright I'm stepping in it now). Already admitting that I have nothing to substantiate this. But when the hordes of envy mongers came out of the slave shop world of the old Aristocracy they fanned out across the globe with their tricks of how to hypnotize their children to be of-the-cause. And even though the world got kind, and the wars that were mongered (because it wasn't poor people who started all those wars) by powerful money, who colluded for their new orders to be followed (to the letter) created a pliable class of child-minds outside the stream of actually having to do for themselves.(fragment) And concocted systems of public welfare off of which they could profiteer. And low, and behold! In some places poverty was mostly extinguished! And then: open up the flood gates. they tried to breed a nest of hornets to use to descend upon the free nations from the slave nations and bring the ideas of the impoverished of human ecumenical spirit of cooperation, to be co-opted operatives of a failed colored revolution (he's ranting it now!). And instead of trying to make it all good for everyone, they plot some kind of Eugenics to destroy the non-believers. And thus, it seems to many, that they want to annihilate the very people who they seek to rule.
Alright, well, I got to the end of that rant. And now there is the part where I implore that these people can't be real, they must be just a fiction; for if people really were so mendacious and false they would eventually get clued into it (and thus stop and awaken, and become best-citizens). And this election, here in the United States, which President Elect Donald Trump won, serves as a wake-up call to those still within the propaganda induced slumber and hypnosis of untrustworthy sources of information and poison mentoring by malicious dark-hearts of-cause (for which they, them selves, were hypnotized in early youth to be stalwart for (the cause)).
So how do we wake up all of these sleeping people? And some people are very cranky when they finally awaken. A critical part of their being was lulled into constant slumber, they were unable to empathize with real and actual people, but only on the false archetypes presented to them by the cartoonesc presentation of cartoon-quality civics and politics. Do they teach them how to be free thinkers and do for themselves? Or do they make them into welfare addicts to be housed in ignorance? Go begging to your masters at the brain wash factory. Get your news from the poison spigot that they use to pump from the festerbog. That sludge that flows out, they would like you to be force fed. They even pay up big to try and inject it into your life by constant rancid video push of the poison ideas, and click bait concepts of indignant upset and outrageous fortunes of imaginary people. The world is full of propaganda and your tablet phone is a tool for spies. Be your own spy and liberate yourself from their mendacious stream and do right for the world. (IE: keep the phone but use it for a better purpose).
Or you could be like Jill, and profiteer off the election. Oh, here is my point: ya, go do a recount. But no one should be paid to do it at a rate any higher than what a GS employee would get. If they really believe in egalitarianism, then let them except the government's egalitarian rate. What's minimum wage? And as far as it goes: lawyers who profiteer off elections really take the cake and seem to many to be the biggest of . . . oh why do I try and express the outrage that that type inspires? After all, aren't they just a fiction of the overactive mind? If Jill really believes that something has been stolen from her, then let her do a recount in every district, not just the states that would, if they all flipped, get the other candidate, and not Jill, into office. Clearly Jill doesn't care about the transition, or she doesn't care about the health of the country . . . Well, not so clearly. See how easy it is in a first draft to make a mistake. But at least it's didactic. ha ha ha. by the way, maybe Jill just wants to hammer home that Mr. Trump really did win the election.
If the Jill effort actually succeeds, and the other candidate is deemed (by some incredulous group of someones) to be the real winner, then expect that many Trump supporters are going to call BS on those pronouncements. Trump will be part of the next government, no matter what. The Socialist revolution is over, people. We are done with the constant lies and totally false reporting of the mainstream bought and paid for liars of the nepotistic insider of the old regime. The Socialist Revolution is over, Long live the (New) Socialist Revolution!
The total conformity of ideology that is demanded of us by these constant-harping socialists is soul killing. It's a new religion, and it ought to not be allowed to impose it upon the public anymore than it already has been. The falseness has been exposed. So what are you really trying to do, Jill? How does all of this help your causes? Ah, here is what you are trying to do: get paid a lot of money.
Or is that me being unfair to you and you really do believe in Democracy? Ya, right. How much of what I say is fiction? I wish. But their behavior keeps showing them as being profiteering creeps.
When I say stuff like 'the [something] is over, long live the [something]', next generation something is the implication. All of the fallacies of the revolution should be over. But that which was not fallacy, the actual human spirit of what is right to do for the people, that true spirit can never actually die, nor does anyone want it to die. And thus that part of Socialism that makes sense, that part that works for all of humanity, and not just some special moiety plantation crowd, where the system is called 'Socialist' but when the dictator dies it's his brother who is still in power. Folks, that isn't Socialist, it's monarchical. And while monarchy is old-school to Socialists, the difference in a Socialist monarchy is the lack of Deity. It's very old school to have that kind of society. But look at all the socialist nations and see, instead, monarchies, where the sovereigns don't need to follow the Code of Kings, which was to bow down to the One Supreme Lord: those kings had to be people who believed that they themselves were less than deities.
Socialists, it is true, give up on the idea of some kind of plaster cast morality of old-school sovereign gods, or One True God, which is what very many intelligent people discovered works for their societies for very many millennia. And even when there was pantheism that could not, or would not, disappear from the fables that people tell in the twilight story telling times (for youngsters to learn the traditions); even in those most pantheistic of places, jungles of India, the one God does still exist within their myths: Atman, Brahman, Krishna. All flow from that (within that doctrine or mythology).
But what do we see in Socialist countries? A moiety of privilege always arises. A cult of personality as well. And when they are deep within the throws of it, they create a new monarchy. And that monarchy doesn't have a deity, because Atheism is the way. So if people are good, and filled with the Spirit of Light, even if no one calls it holy, then they do well for the people, Socialists included. But if people get left to their selfish ways, and feel themselves outside of morality? And behave as creeps? There is no morality as a base, the monotheistic bedrock of creation for them. They can get as strange and weird as they want and call it revolution. It can be all about sex and drugs and rowdy sport . . . of other people of the 'lesser' moieties, like what the Aztecs were: terrorists not leaders, who used cannibalism as a terror weapon to keep the normal people in fear and submissive. Socialists, at their worst, could become like that. However, don't you know that most of them are not? (any 'belief system of politics' has that as possible worst case, because it's not the politics that is wrong, but the people who are running it at the time).
Of course they aren't. The Aztecs did use cannibalism as a way to spread fear in the population. That attests to cannibalism being a taboo by that time in Mexico. In a Communist dictatorship, like Cuba, they weren't actually eating the people, but it was a form of metaphoric cannibalism. They eat all the goods and businesses, take everything, and force the competent people to flee across the Straights of Cuba, over deep water, and peril of drowning, barracudas, sharks, and prohibited the logical choice: ferries and air planes. The dictatorship, who are still in charge, cannibalized everything of value and sent the owners off. And now, their first dictator is dead. And in Miami, and throughout South Florida, and beyond, they celebrate the death of who some call a great man. Yes, a little rich kid, wanted it all for his own crowd. The pretense of Socialism, a country to be lead by pretenders to a new and saner world, but instead just pliant capitulatists for a wider aristocratic secrecy of purpose: the capitulation of all nations under the yoke of one world order for some other moiety (that's the story). Just like when Venezuela was having a hard time, the dictatorship there in crisis, they 'make a deal' for 'mining rights' , sold to some foreign interest. And that's land that might be considered other people's land, and thus outside the authority of some central government to sell. The deal to 'develop' a very large percentage of Venezuela for 'mining' or 'development' by foreign interests? Does that not sound like just more exploitation of indigenous populations, and more expropriation of lands of some other moiety or tribe, and thus really a tyranny? But they got a quick cash infusion from some foreign interest, and thus . . . well I don't have all the details. that's what socialism does: it collectivizes the power of a nation for quick fire-sale at the end of the dictatorship. And just as the next revolution happens, and the old government of these capitulators collapses, the dictator and his crowd all flee their own nation with the spoils that they got, and leave it all to the foreign creditors and those who gave them pay out.
So let Venezuela and Cuba both be lessons. Socialism is a moral failure because it expects the worst of hard working honest people, and then punishes them as criminals based upon false archetypes, and celebrates pillaging innocents as a victory for 'the people' but it's only just the people of their moiety. And they are a bunch of Hamlets, many of them ready to plunge their knife into a tapestry, that's just there for decoration or for warmth, and behind which they have no way of knowing who is really there, or why.
The world is better when good revolutions succeed, like the one against the globalist delusion. And better as well, when failed revolutions pass away, and countries return to democracy, and deals made with collusionaists are voided, and native lands remain as native lands, without being pillaged.

. . . well . . . Truck-you-later!this was once a poem but now it's just me filling space. This was once a grand solioquy of a man with a sense of eternity skipping down the page. This was once poetry of a high gauge. And once I thought a while typing all night long I put my drafts on the Internet and some times it's a song this was once a song a poem a dream a roaming rock wants to dance wants to swim in a parade of awesome standing in the late afternoon sunlight of a beach of eternal time passing repeating passing repeating this dream your tan his house that door was lock the window and the wall and the cold wind we were no longer friends this was once a dream of you it had a flavor, like I could smell apples and the day was bright and long ever morning dreaming of you bringing This was once a memory of a song that had been a poem before until someone saw it there, put it to a tune, used it without permission these years of words draining these heartbreak cliche days dreaming day dreaming daze dreaming. The sound of the rain. oh, you literal cliche. he keeps typing enen when he has nothing left to say. Hit enter. My poem hadn't arrived yet the promised poem, that great epic trilogy of hope and pathos coming to awareness of truth and life. It wasn't there yet. It flopped around awhile, the door to the garage had been locked by his uncle and no one would be getting access to the key and then he died. We were left standing while the storm approached out in the rain streaming lightning but it was only a dream in a poem, not even a real dream. His uncle was never ever mean. And if angels scream of sleep at the end of a very long day waiting for parents to let you get in the car and drive away to a place with your bed for the night. No one else will be there then, it will be him alone with his toy tracktors. If you go to his barn you might find a dream he had before he started using that excuse that he makes up over and over like he forgets that you know it was obvious to you you could tell by the mood swings, the dust on his guitar strings, the flat tire on his motor bikes, the bird carcus laying next to the closed window where it had flown against it and died maybe a year before. And driving away you wanted to pretend that you could still sense the glow the hope the promise, that eternal beach in the sun afternoon eternity for ever with you kind of joyous venture the memory of which never goes away. And locked within your jones you'll neer know the way he feels for you, a love that's true. And driving away you know that even though you might never go back there you will always be there. The paradox of that last verse makes sense during the dusk that descends upon the highway and the hills this day was long, the lifetime trip back to you forever condensed into a fraction of hope, by the time I could admit my own failure my tendency was to cut bait on the problem which usually meant being alone When so many were out on the town drinking writing sappy poems about that eternal beach of life somewhere in an old notebook, and confessions of my earlier life when I was such a weasel at times to so many people, not being honest afraid of the blow back the most mendacious generation. But I got better. draft on, crazy typist. Is it cold in here? Is there a draft? Ya, everything on this website.© 2016 © 2017 ©

Somethings never change nothing need stay the same ah, but on a website the constant change is kind-of the point . . .
change without continuity and tradition is often very hard to manage for those thrust into it. And thus the frame of things gives a place for the change to happen. If you violate that idea then you are coming up with something completely different and maybe no one will want to see your new idea, or use your great, new venue, because it's too far out, and very far away from what they currently care about. It's a nether or a meta and it's merely for a lark? Or does it become the next big thing? As fun as graphics are (CGI) and animation, and making a world to fly around in (like minetest, which is easy when you learn how) ultimately such a meta is a hollow place. It's a distraction during the season of gaming. It allows one to brush up on geometry and math, and architectural design, it gives people training in computer languages, it allows someone to make some graphical ideas, and pass a few hours of time every few days or so . . .
To live within such a realm really isn't possible.

After 40 different versions what can one say about it anymore? It's installed in all my systems, a day earlier. There are a few minor issues, but no show stoppers.
I did some stuff with lvm to resize a root area. That took a very long time. It's on a machine that maybe just should be retired . . .

Ya, I decided to load Fedora Core 38 Beta about a month ago, and this machine kept shutting down . . . I think I finally fixed it. Tomorrow is the big release day for the Fedora Core 38. My production workstation is still running FC37. I don't know if I'll jump right on it right away. . .
my server is still resetting, or maybe I have it fixed. I decided to just remove plasma-desktop, as I don't use it. The journals were giving all kinds of errors with that, and I think that might have been the issue, conflicting with the gdm that I do use. Worst case I'd just go to runlevel 3 but, as I said in another column, I don't really even know if anyone views these pages anyway.
My production box would upgrade but the dnf says it would downgrade grum and associated tools, and that's never a good thing to do. I'm just not going to do it! anyway I'll check tomorrow when the offical release is and probably do it then. If I'm in the mood.
So now I've run every version of Fedora serving this website! that's a long time.

I set the keybindings to something I don't use, and then put in a custom keybinding to use the old tool.
There are other minor things that annoy too, like the restoration of a deleted file that I always have to delete again on every FC core upgrade. The file is name camera-shutte.oga. It's in /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo

OK, so I've done an update to FC34.
the biggest issue was . . . . drum roll . . .a lock up of gnome.
and if i clicked on the activities button I would need to reload (log out log back in).
I was able to run stuff without that, and thus determined a list of files that might need to be removed. I did as full reinstall of gnome as such:
dnf reinstall gnome
then I did a
dnf list installed |grep fc33
which gave me a list of files to consider uninstalling.
from that I got the following:
first odd issue:
sudo was not at first working! I had to install it! I kept the configuration file so I have my preferences still set up.
dnf install sudo dnf reinstall gnome-* dnf reinstall kde* dnf reinstall NetworkManager* dnf remove gnome-screensaver dnf remove gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-20.04.0-2.fc33.noarch dnf remove xorg-x11-xkb-extras-7.7-33.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove compat-openssl10-1:1.0.2o-11.fc33.x86_64 dnf remove mozjs60-60.9.0-7.fc33.x86_64
there are still some fc33 packages, (I also looked for fc32 packages, anything older that was gnome)
sudo dnf list installed |grep fc33 biber.noarch 2.14-4.fc33 @fedora gamin.x86_64 0.1.10-37.fc33 @fedora libgta.x86_64 1.0.9-5.fc33 @fedora
if removing a package also removed large numbers of other packages, I left it. For each of the few that I did remove, I always would make sure by reading what would happen before agreeing to the transaction.
now the gnome-shell is working and it doesn't lock up. So which of the packages that I removed made the difference? I am not sure.
and so after just a few short hours of install, I've got my system working in away that seems normal.
the new gnome shell moves the icons to the bottom of the screen.
I find gnome-shell to be annoyingly poppy at times. I tend to do things rapidly, and all the popping can be nauseating.
It is helpful to learn how to use dnf. I've found that the reverse history stuff works as long as you haven't made too many changes. It's a dicey, though, to try and go back to an older revision but I did it ONCE. Next time it didn't work out so well. AT that point it was installing dnf and yum from rpms.
and I had success. It's the kind of thing that when you know how to do it . . .
but there was one other trick that I needed and it was a scary way to reset a password and I did discover how to do it. I'm not sharing that one (barely remember) it's like these things exist in a nether, and it's best to . . . let the knowledge fade unless you need it. It's too scary to dwell in that space.
anyway, gnome shell is working. It's not flighty and hanging up. And all it took was to remove the old packages of gnome that might conflict with it. And now I can continue with my review.
