The Right Column
     Emerald
    Cut

jewels of the
lush forest

I found a gem
in the forest,
uncut, an
emerald
necklace just
a methaphor
for expensive
things?

It had an
emerald cut.

It was green
and glowed
like it had
batteries
and made you
feel all alive
like it was
magic, it was
so big,
as big as the
forests of
Ardour
in a dream
it was all in
thier
in stead of just
being a stone
that fell out
of Mrs. Aster's
necklace.

Was if jade or
emerald? It
shined like the
reflection of
leaf buds
upon a dark
vernal pond,
black leaves
below the water
set back like
a setting for
the stone.

And I wanted to keep
it but
I kind of knew someone
would be looking
for this stone.

So I gave it to
the lost and found.
