March Into Spring

Here is a sample of new SVG/JavaScript work: To modify an SVG that is positioned with a CSS one would need to access the DIV element with the DOM, or the Style of the element . . . XML/XHTML/SVG let you do things in so many different ways . . . and none of these are 'wrong'. Should the page have the animation scripts or should the scripts be embedded within the SVG objects? Should animation be spawned through data fed over an encrypted channel to protect intellectual property? Can one cobble some kind of Inter-object communication between autonoumous SVG elements (each with their own JavaScript's)? Will Engineer get a job working for competent clients who aren't just pulling an arbitrage scam? How can one work in a difficult engineering environment when the way that some folks want the engineer to approach is begging, prostrate, on our knees? Will the Engineer get over his hang ups and accept the facts of life and understand that there really are good people who need software engineering done, and when the jobs are there jobs will come. I only need one assignment at a time. It is challanging to find work in an environment with a credit lock. No one knows what the government is going to screw. so they are fearful to hire. Be not afraid. March 17, 2010
