River Freezes

  The Winter has gone weiry,
    the hard times have 
   made a flood through
     the many low places.

   See how the lawns  
    that don't drain
   have filled to their edges
    due to the neglect
   of clearing out the 
    flow channels.

   So there is water in your 
     house that you
   can't clean up
     until the rain ends
   and it all could have
           been avoided
     by the use of a shovel.

   There is a shovel leaning
      against the garage.
    It will help you 
      channel the flood
    towards the storm drain.

   It isn't really that much
     that is needing to be done
    just clear away a little dirt
     and leaves
     from where the water has flowed
                    before.
