comparison between Blender 28a and 28c: 2 minutes for the newer and 2.25 minutes (2:15) for the old. That is a significant improvement. I have found no issues.

I've been holding off on a major purchase of a rendering box because . . . well first it's just not that important right now and second, the new technology is so significantly better that it's better to hold back the cash to make the vendors lower their price. There seems to be a lot of stupid money in the render space. Stupid money is a 'technical' term. What I mean is that obcessed people, who have to always have the latest and greatest, dump their money on brand new equipment as soon as it becomes available. They sell their old gear on-line for a fraction, and the cards aren't even a few months old, in many cases. It's not that the people are stupid, but perhaps obcessed.
