hey, something I wrote around the first of the year

Today in [powerful foriegn nation] they announced that they had executed a couple score 'terrorists'. Ya, terrorism is a horrible thing. And people who kill people should be dealt with.

But is terrorism murder? Because I always argued (and I didn't argue very hard, just in my own mind, conversations with myself if you will) that there was no need to define the term 'genocide' because murder is murder. Is murder. There is no need to say "do not kill a whole family" because that is assumed . . . because it would be murder. Murder is illegal. It's been illegal.

Ah, but execution. States get to do that. But don't we argue, some of us, that it's a thing that if you did it it would have to be a sure thing that these people really were as evil as claimed, all plot of murder, dead people? 'The ones who kill get the death penalty'.

Death Penalty. Some say it's just for sport, blood sport.

Jesus Christ was against it. But he also was ready to die. He didn't want to. So Christians aren't supposed to support execution.

But the facts of history show differently. And no one is a perfect Christian here on Earth, nor a perfect Jew, or a perfect Shia, or other kind of Muslim. Or a perfect anyone. Of any kind.

Obsession on supremacist ideology is a sad fact of the modern age. And despotic frustrated rich people who have no purpose other than to try and claw their way forward in a world that has enough for everyone: they get a free vacation to Aspen and act like asses. They subhumanize people outside of their own tribe, and claim that it's about 'God'. And they execute . . . their political rivals.

whose? whose obcession? obcession of ideology?
or just supremicist ideology. no one is born that way.
it's a delusion of continued urge? why are people like that?
Is it taught? Or do we want to be that way?
