'trust' in the 'mainstream' Media

They did get fooled again.

If you don't 'trust' the 'mainstream' media then why would you trust their studies about trust?

Most journalists are reporting local news. You can probably trust most of them.

Anyone who was getting their nightly spoon fed view of the world and believing it without skepticism probably isn't looking to understand the issues, but just to find out how it is that some may expect them to react. And so you access the person to whom you speak, and if you 'get it' that they do not get it, then you don't give them your pearls of wisdom.

Truth is real. Consensus is fabricated. The views of the 'people' are made up in an individuals head. The individual may be wrong. The 'truth' doesn't coordinate, in that case. This is the rule of subjective, or small 't' truth.

Large 'T' Truth is an idea that can't be denied, the configuration of the physical world, the way that things work, and are even out of the control of prayer and wish-craft, baring a miracle. Prayers are not fulfilled but answered. The answer will try to align the receiver with the 'Truth' of God. The Truth of God: the big 'T' Truth. The little t truths of opinion, not important. The little 't' truths of the physical world? Still very important and not up for discussion.

Everyone knows the analogy of the ledge, the necessity of keeping people from falling over. But you can't keep people from their own stupidity. If they go to the edge and they climb over the railing and they lean out they might just slip and fall. If they have on the correct gear? If they stand in the way of a falling bird poo? Who would do that? Prayer isn't going to stop the rain from raining on everyone when it is raining. If a tower falls it isn't an act of God. It is an act of man. The tower was, perhaps, designed poorly (I am not talking about the WTC but the tower that Jesus mentions in the Gospels. It is the only historical reference to a tragic accident. We look to the builder of the tower for the mistake, not the builder of the builder.

"But why didn't G_d make the architect a better architect so that he/she would design a safer building? Why did G_d make people flawed? How is it that we aren't all perfect if G_d is perfect?"

Maybe leave it as an exercise to answer these fallacies? Set up a comments section for adults over 40 who will answer the nacent cries of the not quite getting it person who wants to believe in G_d but is over thinking it.

Fallacies are hard to eradicate. In the case of expecting that a perfect G_d wants to make a perfect creature, maybe there is a process of creating that which is long and involved and we are only partly there yet? Maybe perfection, as a concept, is just a human one and G_d doesn't care about the rules of people who are still lost in the fallacies of youth, those who don't adore and worship and get that there is just no getting it about somethings. WE have t just except them as they are. We are supposed to be in a constant state of song (psalm) when we are in worship. If that is internal? External? It might not be all of it. There is also the silence. And is there a border between them?

And so we are not perfect because this isn't a world for perfect people. And we find that angels (or what are they called, sara-something, neph-something, well they do have great power (if you believe in them) and they do exist in this world (if you believe it). So why didn't G_d stop with them?

It's not my story, so why tell it. Oh, screw that, I suppose it's everyone's story. It's maybe a metaphor or an allegory about human consciousness. Or these are actual other creatures, creatures who exist alongside us and in this world only in a part of it that we are not privy too except through the calculated use of mind. But then some claim direct and constant contact. They seem to have an understanding of them.

But philosophy of religion and mysticism, and the belief in angels, isn't something that a lot of people buy into. They don't. And so if you believe it, and you've talked to them, or heard them maybe in the rustle of the leaves, seen them in the way that the leaves seem to act in unison, in a hard wind, at night, in the fall, at teh end of the autumn before the leaves are all blown away to their ultimate destruction. Does the leaf yell out as it is dieing "oh, imperfect world of sorrows, there can be no G_d because all life ends in death. Ah, my life! I am not more! oh were does my soul go?"

The leaf doesn't know. It doesn't have a mind like that as far as our science says. And so it has no concept of 'dieing'. It was there for what it was for, it did it's thing, and now the season changes and so must it. It isn't 'dead' because the cells of it are still there and will still be used by other creatures. It will become part of the soil and then be reabsorbed by the trees. It may even be reabsorbed by the very same tree from which it came. And so the complex cycle of the leaf continues.

We are not leaves. Our cycles will be different from leaves. But still, won't we have cycles too? As humans? We come, we go. Willy nilly. We sniff the lilies of the field and sing psalms about it in a giant hall we call a temple/church/mosque. We call out to our fellows to believe as we do: all life is temporary though the life of the Lord is forever! We call out to Praise the Lord Forever!

And we all still disagree. About mostly everything. We can get it in a group, a small group that lives in the same place, where we can do the congregational gathering together. We call out our psalms. hopefully we sound harmonious. And if we don't, if someone is always off key and out of phase and sounding like shrieks of a chalkboard we would never say anything about during the service. (well, we might, but that would be a story to tell afterwards about how some people are impolite).

When people get angry when others don't get it right, the call that person (i have someone in mind) an 'a-hoe'. The person wants us all to do better. Then they neigh-sayers say 'look at thy own self, brother love', without really hearing or understanding or seeing his earnestness and authentic trickster disdain for those who don't just 'forgettabout it' and get over what ever legal buslisht that is hampering the harmony of those in that guild: guild of holy troubadours

And so, well, do people 'trust' the mass media? Did they ever? And if they don't is that a bad thing?

The Internet was supposed to be a great leveler. It was supposed to open up the world of information dissemination to everyone. It allows for intense interconnectibility. But this broke some of the control models of the super-egregious (who may be nar, but a fiction). And those super-oupers were asleep (or heavily medicated) and couldn't be bothered with the travails of actual book learning. So they didn't bother to study communications theory and informational dissemination, statistics, programming, sequencing, automation, and engineering. They were majoring in leisure and partying, film-making, power mongering.

Good thing they are just a fiction, these super-ouper's. In any case the system as it is configured, with all data being pinged to the NSA, is one that can not be sustained. The model breaks down because it has a pole on the right half of the plane, in system theory that means an unstable system. There are very many reasons why that model is unsustainable. It basically multiples the amount of energy it takes to transmit data because it requires a copy of every packet. And then if the packets that are copied are copied, it gets even worse. All someone has to do is to . . . of course I wouldn't tell you because I don't want the system to break. Though I know that it will some day and they will have to turn off all of their spying.

sung to the tune of 'stop sobbing' by the women from Ohio:

"Yes it's time for you to stop
all of your spying.
yes it's time for you to stop
all of your spying.

stop it stop it stop it stop it

there is one thing you have to do
even if you don't I'll still love you
better stop spying right now
ya ya ya
stop it stop it stop it"

Yes it's time
for you to stop all of your spying
stop it stop it stop it stop it

of course all spying can't stop
some will go on.
why? because there will
always be those who do it.
A just government is one that
when eggrigious things happen, over reach,
the over reach is corrected.
Any possible criminality is investigated.

And then they do a 'catch and release'.

So I'm not a fool.
Of course the NSA has done a lot of good.
But the level of what they do now is not
correct. It isn't for safety of nation, but
for lining the pockets of connected contractors
who kick it back. I have no proof of this
which I can show and as I say above
I believe in 'catch and release' for most
criminal behavior like this.

I go under the premise that most government is good
and bad government can be reformed.

And so we wait and we believe and eventually
we will get the Justice that our nation deserves
and this stupid scheme of packet capture will
be done away with.

troubled and pained
they say he's insane
they say he's insane
but he just troubled and pained

He does what he want
He drive to Vermont
He'll just turn around
he doesn't know where he's bound.

trouble and pained
they say he's insane.
They say he's insane
but he's just troubled and pained.

If you hear him sigh
cause he's a sensitive guy
he has a range that goes low
and then really high

He drives where he goes.
If no body knows
he feels that his heart just glows
and he hopes that it shows.

If he's making a rhyme
and he's off in his time
and he's crafting a tune
and it's smoking in his room
with the stereo calibrated
for these things that the master created
if they'd believe in his tune
he could stay in his room
they could sing what he wrote
and hit just the right note.

He drives where he goes
and if anyone knows
they leave him alone
because he's be frightened as stone.

They say he's insane.
But he's just troubled and in pain.
you can see the fear in his eyes
he hears your deep inner cries
and it's bringing him gloom
so he hides in his room.
They say he's insane.
But he's troubled and in pain.
He doesn't wait for the rain
to feel blue.

Do you need to find a trunk of rhodium?
Maybe a trunk of fear the Lord would be better?
Isn't that the plot of Raiders of the Lost Arc?

when you hear the litany of unhealth during commerical for Helleth care products,
please put on the mute. A litany of disease, as a constant soundtrack, is most unhealthy.
Some may find it a metric as to the real reason for the products that give such litanies during their commercials.

people who don't use [such and such]
have been known to have a long and healthy life
and live to grand old age.
People who don't use [such and such]
have been known to be suddenly healthy just
through rest and recovery and natural effects of
healthy life style.
People who don't use [such and such]
have been known to suffer from mental breakdowns,
and then get over it on their own or through
other theropies.
Yes, consult a doctor if you can. But if not . . .
don't be all worried and upset. It's very unhealthy to
dwell on death and disease.

In the light of the moon
within the sound of the sea
I spied my true love
now she's talking to me

and the wind has the scent of blossoms
and the fragrance of fresh rain
damp petals flow along curbstones
the moonlight and slight wisps of rainbows
 fog draped along these shores

seabirds and the bay
all the way to city of and the river town alight
with celebration and dancing.
