The Christmas Spinster movies are back on the Hallmark Channel this week. This genre of movie is a cross between a matchmaker movie and a Srooge movie. And in the end of it the troublesome rougishly handsome and rugid heart-throbe guy (with the most amazing look of pure loving manliness and chaste except for the right one, but committed to not being married) finally meets the career woman who falsely thinks that career and love can not coincide. Well they can. And these kinds of movies prove it. lol.
I like this genre, as hoaky as it is. It's is almost the same genre as Fantasy Island, but more like a Twilight Zone genre, not tht the stories are far fetched. lol. when I say lol I mean 'humourous beat'. Obviously there are some weird twilight zone things going on. But it's Santa zone. No, Santa does not work for the NSA (actually in one of the more recent films, which I have not seen, Santa is blackmailed by . . . I don't rememvber the name of that movie. I can look in my notes.).
And so we have this new cute genre that gets played in a loop through the holidays. And the stories always try and combine a multi-racial multi-ethnic Christian view of the world where everyone clebrates the diversity of each other but the unity of The One. Christmas is when He first arrived. So, that's cool for a Christian and some of these movies take it there. But if it comes from the heart of course it has to include all the non-Christians too. So the genre also has that, and it gets treated respectfully.
I am not sure if anyone has done any kind of a story from a stoners spinster Christsmas? Kind of a Seth Rogan thing but don't have it promoting creepy free-sex rave culture that exists in expectations made from movies like that.
What kind of Christmas Spinster story would I write? The roughishly handsome man is really a . . . But we can't disappoint the future wife. He has to have a friend who is equally suited but the story has to be that they have known each other long enough for being in love to make sense.
I guess one form of parody would be if the same woman had such a Christmas every Christmas. You could cast Elizabeth Taylor (of course you can't really) as the lead in that one. It would be a like Groundhogs day for Spinster Christmas, it would star E. Taylor as a CG thing. It would be like zelig with Seth as the woodie. And he would be a set crew guy in Jewish LA during the 1960s. It would be the comedy movie that would spoof all the of the bad television from the 1960s and possibly edning with the destruction of sixties television at the point of the Rob Riener friends making all of that activast television. Her is a questin of Mr. Big producer: why couldn't we have had both? Maybe we can have an alternative world where The Beverly Hillbillies was never cancelled. Who knows, it might have run for ever? How long would Petticoat Junction have stayed on the air? Why couldn't ARcie Bunkier have gone there too? Why did it have to be one or the other?
Will the hollywoosies craft an honest story about that period? Will they discuss openly the constant and overwhelming agenda mongering that still shows up in a lot of their productions? Any regrets from these people? Well, I don't want to be insulting, and I did like a lot of it when it was fresh, and I don't know what kind of restraints they were under, or the pressures from funders. But as radical as they pretended to be they sure fit right into their kiss the butt of the establishment. They became the new establishment. And we were supposed to always think of them as the radicals that they pretended to be as actors back in the golden age of TV. There are good causes. Most of what was on agenda-monger normal leer type television wsa ostensively good: racial and religious equality, rights of man, caring for the poor, not being self-entitled, loving eeryone, being charitible. Somewhere those things got replaced with support for agendas that clearly come from some high-alpine here is what we want people to believe kind of place. Like the lie of Global alarmism. Are we to believe that the furvent causes that were previously promoted are not a lot more important that some of the ones that get promoted now? Social justice! That was a good cause! Equal rights! a great cause. Anti gun? Well, anti nut having a gun, yes. But not anti all guns because if you start there there is no end to it. Just about anythign can be weaponized. So if someone decided to do that (a creep who needs to be arrested) it is a lot easier to ahve a hibridized object that effects the use of force in a way to inflict least harm to non-creeps and most non-deadly harm (let us hope) for the mentally ill person with the weapoinized whatever it is. Gun control means not taking away all guns but the safe and moral use of guns. We control guns by not being outragious and inciteful. We control gun by not letting constant aggitation towards targetted groups by agitators go one unceasingly like some people do against legal gun owning moral citizens.
Of course there has to be a limit. The total confiscation of guns is rediculous. Also the total and complete unregulated purchase and ownership of anvanced armaments. But I say if some excentric wants to provide some new and legal to use weapon for his local police or malitia, like say he wants to sponser a tank for the national guard of his district, why would we prevent him from buying it for the service of everyone? For private use: of course not!
And so the arguements go on. We have the Spinster Christmas movies. I'd like to write a stoners version of it. I went off on various Hollywood sterotype people who live in my head, people, who honestly, I don't really know and have not interviewed so don't take my opinion on them but form your own. I am just envious about how much bad television got made and I would have liked to have been involved in making good television. I still would be.
and then I went on about how even the agenda mongering stuff from the Norman leer genre was mostly to promote racial and ethnic and relgious eccumenicalism and a nonbigoted age. But that the genre of it morphed into being alos have very many causes from agenda factories. Then I said that Global Alarmism is a troubling trend (I paraphrase). Then I tried to disallow my criticism (I whim out) concerning certain hollywoozzies who I don't even know. I can't really put my head in their world and ascertain why so many of them seem to be complete and total . . . well, not I am asking that now.
When it gets to the point that the activasm of agreesive aggitation creates an untenible social situation, the reaction is often anger, which the agitators are looking for. They want the aggitated to act out. So if you approach the aggitator with love then they probably don't know how to react to that.
The "I don't know what you are talking about, it is all in their head." defense falls apart. Then it is the "They don't like me because I am a [some category]." I used to use that one a lot for excuses for my failures in life. Then I finally realized: it isn't because I am gay that people don't want me for these projects. It is because of other reasons. My own failures. It was liberating to realize that my rejection was not because of my closeted nature. Insteda it was more my iconoclasm and my "don't just think outside the box, but don't even admit tht the box is ever necessary"
In the end we are all very much the same about most things. Of course we are different in many other ways. If the self-entitled sees everyone like that then is that really self-entitled? If the rich fat movie mogul is a generous and benficient dude, then so what he does product placement as a main source of revenue and basically going against the tenets of philosophies that you know that he supports. And if the mayor is a theif? What kind of a theif? A Robin Hood?
We may be entering difficult times. It seems to many that our ship of state is being intentionally sailed into these rough shole-laden waters. So, let us trust in God and believe. That really solves it all. And as far as delusions about the powerful: it is best to keep your accusations in check.

How can it be Saturday again after working so hard all week long and thinking of you and you are gone, what can I say that I gained? Without you telling me anything you got up before the wind I realize I was crazy to miss you so much. Groggy, it felt the shame and worried about how I sinned. Everyone who I knew had flown away. Now that it is over I am speachless. poet note: if he is 'speachless' or 'has nothing to say' then why does this poem go on? A paradox? or a reason for editing? Probably a reason for editing. end of poet note. If Winter came with less sudden unexpected force The fear of the big freeze wouldn't scare us so much. Pipes burst, a 1000 dollar bill from a plumber if you don't hurry up hurry up drive there before the blizzard and everything all drenched and frozen. As fridgid blizzard deep chilled the world the rivers, the streams, the ponds, the lakes all had that first freeze pudding look, the snow not really melting as it hit the surface. The world be became as glacier. "It kind of looks pretty now way off in the distance." 😇 😈 This pretty tree grows far off on a silver hill at dusk in the light of the rising Moon the flock of geese flying towards the faraway mountains out beyond things we had considered real before without a necessary eternity like fading mist on the inside of a windshield blasted by the warm air from the blower. The pretty tree drawn by a tiny finger in the glass is still faintly there and toddler is snug and snapped in safe in the back seat pointing through the glass and discussing The Moon 😇 😈
