He made a spray on mirror
and the smell of it
filled up his back yard and he thought
“I can't really bring this inside
now
it'll stink up the house!
I thought it was such a good idea
when I saw this at the store!”
But why didn't he read the can better
“not suitible for food storage”
“toxic fumes”
“use in a well ventilated area”
It did shine though. And
it was a mirror.
He left it in the back yard
leaned up against an old television.

All Year

and till the end of time

Carrying on he
doesn't rest
enough
doesn't rest enough
or get enough good nurture
to be OK
all day like is sometimes
demanded.
He can do better
but he needs his rest.
That is how he thought it like if
he were asked to think.
But no body did.
Eventually
he'd look back
and wonder
"why was I like that?"
as if to know
will help someone else
when people have to take this hard road
like I did
in some future time
they may have by then
forgotten
everything we learned.
The Spirit
will have taught them
new things,
the things that will be important to know
the same things that we know
they will know
as the Spirit shows them
for what they need.
And we should have confidence
that we don't have to try and think it
for them
who aren't even born yet.
