The Right Column Over the years I have written many different screes (rants) concerning the uber-privledge of the trust fund and endowed tax-free fuedal fifes called 'private colleges' that have undue influence. I say tax the hell out of these 'schools' where what the kids learn is international captulation. If a school does anything more than educate they should be taxed. If they work on government programs they should be taxed. If they provide housing they should be taxed. The tax break should go to the student. Schools like Ha###d and M#T are equivalent to fiefs from the dark-ages. The chancellors and tenured faculty are often like currupt nobility. End the grift, free us from the dot-org tyranny. My proposal: if a school is over a certain size and with undue influenece the capacity that they have that compeats with private business should be taxed.
