The Right Column how do you grow grass in a drought? I wondered this just a few weeks ago. the seeds I put down did not grow. They must have been eaten by birds. thought things would go one way but I can't trust that they will so I am walking away (thank you Kenny Rogers for such sage advice, hope that I don't die in my sleep anytime soon). Sometimes when it seems that the whole world is a grift and that I can't trust people who I mistakenly thought that I could I read The Psalms and they help me through my turmoil. Ultimately how I fell and my success is all me isn't it? So if I am not succeeding it is just me too. What is success? A warm and dry bed? Food so you aren't hungry? Anyone who lives in America is already a success, so why all the envy and finger pointing? OK, enough. The sun is shining between the clouds and Horseneck Beach shimmers, I am sure in the midday light. 29 June, 2008
