The Right Column

  Here  is something from Summer Place
one of my novels in production:

   I recall a sense of a social situation
when I am at this place of meditation. 
It is as if the people who I had built
into my life, or had built me into
there's, were no where to be found,
no way to be contacted, unconcerned with the
plight of an excitable refugee, 
such as myself, who channels the instincts of
his inner hermit thrush, channels 
his need to be the solitary bird singing the
haunting sound, and flies off into 
the rolling green hills.  No mate, 
no nest, no where to rest except this 
green bough upon which I find myself almost waking
from a meditative dream, the sense of 
the bobbing of the bough, the quiet, the
haze.  But when I awake, of course, as
always, I am back in this life struggling
to make sense of it all.

  But there has been a dusting
of snow this morning.

If there is sleet
on the street on the day that you greet
with a trick to fool a fool
Is it a cheet to compete with the fleet
of those who are too cool for school?

When you meet on the street 
meet and greet and be true to the fool
who is too cool to not stay in school.

  between the bar and the car


  Rage to the sea your fears of me
   they are unfounded 
    off with the scoundral moon hiding.
   off with there heads they were not abiding
     my edicts of fear and frenzy
        what does it matter what men see?
  All you need to verify
      is the lie
  that I rant here on this bluff.
    It is all a bluff.
      the ocean swells only so high.
   there is always a rainbow.
      the Springtime comes 
       every year.

  This is how he rages there 
     in the night and the fog.
    Don't know how
   it ended up in this blog.

name a new story that.
