The Sea as it Rages in a NorEaster

The King Shows his charge the Wound
  "By His Wounds"
     yells the actor
    conveying the yesterdays
       of being gone: 
   lost glories of fallen kings.

  They help him back up.
  They carry the king
     upon a gilded platform.
      They bring him to his subjects
       who do not know of the wounds.

  That throne is put
     way up high above the sea of the
               adoring citizenry
       but down below the cross.

   After the ceremonies, 
    and back at the sanctuary
     where the king will heal
   The king shows his trusted charge
      the wounds.
    "We are the same, you and I"
       says the king.

   "You are wiser because of your wounds."
        says his charge.


 
I dedicate the above poem to Hillary.


Work on What has been Spoiled
If a police man breaks into your 
basement without a warrant because
of a bad smell and says 'you have
raw sewage in your basement, fix 
this problem.'  then you really
can't say some thing to the effect of 
'you made a warrant-less entry.'
Warrant-less or not, the truth
is now out there:  you live over
an open cesspool.  
You can see it now, the unhealthiness.
Most everyone will do something
about such an obvious spoiled situation.
A giant septic leak
is work needing to be done on what 
has been spoiled.
And so, we are faced with the horror
of knowing dark secrets that can
not now be censored from the public 
concern.  How could the information 
be erased?  It can not.
Now that we know about the problem 
it must be fixed.  It doesn't matter
if the method of discovery was
illegal or classified.
To ignore the problem would result
in catastrofic consequences.  
Prudent folk will act to improve the
situation.  There is no stopping the
flurry of activity that will occur.

as I see it.
