Automotive Design

musings

Why not make carriages that make it easy to swap out various ways of powering them? Make the power-plant a removable part, a component. And you would buy the carriage or automoblie chasis and get a power plant from some other vendor. If the power-plant you have has issues, and it's got some flaw with a recall, not a great big deal then, but a need to go to the power-plant swap establishment. That would be a service station. The service station would then deal with the recall, much in the same what that window glass replacement works with insurance companies. The would swap you in a new power plant right-quick. It would be a lot like getting new tires. And since there could be multiples of different ways of powering, it cuold be made redundant in a platform so that it could be a simple matter of just plugging in a working one, if on the road, to leave the defective one installed, in the meantime. Or the uncharged one, so that getting a charge could be as easy as just dropping in a new battery. The old one assumping it's not a hazzard, would stay in place and recharge. This assumes that the power plant is some kind of high power high volage battery system. But it doesn't have to be be that.

So how simple could it be? As simple as auto glass replacment or even simpler! Perhaps just like you do with tires or 12 volt batteries used with internal combustion engines. That way companies that put out defective products wouldn't be able to strand a whole fleet of vehicles due to their miscarriage of automotive engineering, or the mistakes of their factories or designs. And that way products that are more efficient and better suited for long term use can easily be added in later. It's saying to the consumer that he can buy this product without worrying about battery-tech or energy storage tech, or carriage carry-tech being quickly obsolete by newer and more efficient products.

I don't see why it couldn't be worked on to design wheels and tires that, themselves, not just meet the road but also store energy! But listen, when the tire is spinning it does store energy! How is that? Because of the angular momentum of the wheels!

The wheels, two, don't have to be monoliths. They can have gearing so that they can spin on the inside in different directions to allow for a braking and an accelerating.

The braking would be decelerating and storing the energy back into the storage system. Notice I don't say 'battery' because batteries are merely one way to store energy. The wheel, itself, could have a built in fly-wheel-ness to it where it would be rolling on the inside which does to things: it stabilizes and it stores energy!

cellphone design shuld be the same way too, where if there were a need for a new screen you just get a screen and not need to get the rest of the components.

Political and Media Inanity
by Truck-u-later

Truck-u-later

in this column Truck-u-later steps in deeper . . .

How about those truckers!

This by-line, "Truck-u-later", has been here for years and years and years. How long will the truckers demand an end to the over reaching hand of puppet governance?

The mad seasons of clown town 'new normal's' usually end with people getting into the rhythm of not dealing with the overreach, and it all collapsing because of the fear of the elected officials that they will loose the elections. If that doesn't happen other methods are used. All of this is well known. It's been the same for generations and generations. Some clan of naughty nasities, the head-moiety in control, getzz too much power and authtttooritae and thus 'tries shit'. And stuff happens to mitigate that. It's all well known.

Tell us
how
you really feel

a running headline:

Still Trump wins bigly!

the tangled webs of constant decpetion mean, often, in politics . . .

蠱 work on what has been spoiled

sometimes you just need to remove kruft.

Politics never ends but sometimes it's better to remain mute. Mostly when there is nothing needing or wanting to be said.

but that is no one, that has
not hapened to anyone
you made it up.

thankfully true.

We move along. We keep doing for ourselves. We survive. We don't let the world define who and what we are, or how we feel, or what any of this really means.

And if they have bad humor, and will not forgive they will hate you then.

but at least in that
story they leave you
alone after all of that

They dont' always leave you alone. It seems they still sometimes want to connect to try to draw that cray cray narrative out one more time. And you have to explain that, no, sorry, this is a bit. You caught me while I was writing a character, that's not me. I am using tht as a dialog in a paly that I'm having my character write inside of his narrative, he's writing his own play about a guy writing a play.

It's like he feeds on it, I get bothered that he lets me go on with it.

tell us how you really feel . . . . . . well . . . Truck-you-later!

I speak
but there is no one there.
I know that there is no one there.
I'm not really talking to myself
but I know that I'm not talking to anybody else.
