The meanness of the Internet mob is scary. If you are a snarky person who doesn't want to put up with people's meanness, and you give it right back at them . . . . that often if just the wrong thing to do. If you poke at their lava generator, it starts to spew out lave (a minetest analogy) and it just burns through everything..

When you encounter meanness at teh stores . . . . It's better to tame in any response. Trouble is when the mean trigger you, you sometimes aren't really following a script that you even know you have. It just flows back at them. And then you seem the mean one.

That is why it is betst to avoid addling strangers fussing and causing a scene with the clerk. It draws out my 'how dare you absolutely' aspect and makes me look a fool. I didn't take it where they wanted it to go. I tried to turn it into a joke, they wouldn't let me. I confess to You, my God and admit that I have sinned. In what I have done and what I have failed to do!
