and Spring with rough storms
Does the Summer hopes dim
with rising cost of gas?

I got in my car
and drove to the sea
to look for the pedals
that flow in the wind.

Do dolphins and whales
know of the blossoms?
If pedals reach the sea
do they float down to the shoals?

If you dive
into the hull
of a wreak
would you see
the apple blossom pedals
flowing towards the open sea?
