The manner and method of ousting General Flynn from his government job is said by many to be crossing a line. They have this concept of the 'deep state' (how scary), another buggaboo. One conjecture (that I've seen and speculauated upon): Basically it could be the clintinistas and the socialists putting on a mask and going 'boo'. They might be using the intel as a weapon against the Trump cabinet within an internacine struggle for the hearts of the governance.
The first fault in this conjecture is that the people who work in the intellegence community don't all think and act and sound the same. Nor do they think with a group mind. And thus we can't know who is violating the sacred trust of the watchmen. They are voyeerrs into the lives of those who wish to do good for the world, those with a sense of duty, those who were ushered into important positions as generals and Colonels, etc.
15 years ago I would tell people that everythign they do on their phones is recorded. They thought I was being paranoid. As a software person, who had done some work 'cleaning' up drives (when drives were small) I would merely tell people that as far as content goes (and phone conversations are content) it's easier to not delete items than it is to select and delete the things that don't matter any more. It's just prudent to not delete the informaiton if you aren't sure.
But everyone is like 'oh but facecrook is so fun and it free.' Ya, fun. Free. woppdeedee-f-in-dew! We were at my sisters, after a family photo that my other sister demanded (that age group they bully for pictures) and as soon as one of the younguns uploaded the photo, facecrook started to name all the members of my family. So I understand that Facecrook is a tool for spying. People who use it compromise their own safety. You put up pictures of the insides of your house? You are asking for trouble. I certainly don't want to be on someone's dossie about my family. Simply, such a dossie, about my family, shouldn't exist.
But now it does because the knukleheaded instinct is to follow the herd. The facecrook is a pen for the . . . (I hate the word . . ., so why do I use it?).
Well, I said nothing to my family like 'I wish I didn't have to be in your photo'.
So why aren't I paranoid about this? Because everyone in the world is under the same surveylance. And the expectation is that it would only be used for the purposes of 'good'. Yes, this is a comic book explanation, and it's not going to hold up if I'm up there on a debate platform. And I'd be ripped to shreds by Paul Watson if I were to present this as an arguement. And those who go on about a 'deep state'.
What we have is an internacine struggle between various parts of the 'influence' of the various federal agencies. The problem is that the necessary unwinding of the agencies, and the populating them with special citizen (those in those various 'categories') as soon as someone starts to try and create a RIF list, the lawyers, funded by the government-service unions, will step in and slap suit.
It's far fetched that a random phone call from some Russian stranger ought to torpedo your chances for a government job. The reasons for Flynn being gone are most likely still classified. And the people who are responsible? For doing the horrific! For releaseing the data on an individual for fodder of the fake-news colleseum of disgruntled people.
Trump needs our prayers. That is the same as praying for the maintaining of the public order through the sane surveylance, and not the one-sided partisan drip, like a morphene jones. Our citizens are too precious, and valuble, to be let to be treated like this by some partisan within the government who was just recently granted access to data that they should never have access to, and to then cast dispersions upon the NSA, and make it seem as if spies, within the government, are in battle with our own president? It seems to me more likely that someone has breeched the security, and has access to the data outside of normal means. And in any case the release of such data is said to be a criminal act and thus . . . well journalists do understand. I'm not a journalist but a softare engineer and even I understand.
So the idea of that there is internal conflict, and internacine struggle must be conjectured to perhaps, as well, be 'fake news'. Sorry to have echoed it now. But in the case of our government, it's you and me supposdedly. So what are we afraid of? And what do those who want revolution really want? Confromism, a return to the comforting time when they had more control over other people's lives through their excessive expansion of government.
What a mess all this spy ssystem chit has put us in. And now we have some rouges with access trashing good people and ruining their careers. What you give is what you get, isn't that one of the law of paganry? Eye for an eye? So those who doll out career ruin for a person who otherwise would serve our country in the way that he knows how, even if you hate this guys politics, even if you think he's a retrograde personality, those who seek to use the tools of the surveylence state against a person who many consider a 'good' one, trusted enough to have been made a general, if you are doing these awful things to other people who don't deserve it, the you are putting yourself into the center of the redicle. Why would you do that to yourself?
In conclusion: the person or people, the drippers, who have leaked what should never have been leaked (remember it was a serious breech even when it became known that non of this date is ever deleted). The people who leaked these conversation fragments are the equivelent of someone who, taking a tape recorded copy, cuts it up and resplices it and makes it seem as 'evidence'.
It has to be just some small few. And their purpose? Are they really obamaites or hilliaryites? We might want to think so, but again that 's just me playing to the (imainged) readers who are Trump supporters.
It's expected, and everyone knows, that important generals have their conversations recorded. What is unexpected, and will not be tolerated, is releasing such data.
Those who don't understand the difference? If you're still upset that facecrook knows your face? That it labels you? if that doesn't bother you then why would it bother you that there is always someone listening in (or can play it back later). First, there isn't always someone listening. It' would be paranoid to think so howerver artificial methods of interpretatoin could be used. keywords would trigger this. Non of this technology would be used by courts. But most of the governmance is not courts.
The real fact of internet technology, and of data processing systems, is that 'data' is often not deleted, but merely abandoned. All of those old phone conversations, all of those clicks while you played video games. Ya, maybe some one set up a system to store it all. But somewhere along the line it's just left to the side and forgotten. You want to play a saved level from 1998 where you were particularly happy about figuring out how to click and jump and grab, and how to get across the lake of fire to reach the lever, and which block to jump to then when the room distructor triggers . . .
Your old save might be there somewhere. But you won't ever load it up again. Even if you still have that game. Even if you could boot into it.
We need to be able to trust that our friends around us, those who watch the world, aren't creeps and out to get us. Paranoia doesn't help anyone. The news, when it makes us worry about the breech of the federal sea . . .
Yes, the oroville dam of data is about to breech. all of those old phone conversatoins are about to flood out and cover over the whole world. Your phone sex with a stranger in 1998. All of the times you used the world 'penis' in a phone call are about to be voice mailed to your wife. EVery time you moved your eyes to look at the computer generated characters arsse, a ping is sent to central server. Oh, no! Stop with the rapid eye movement, it's taking down our servers.
I'm letting my far fetch conjectorial fiction take over this Thursday morning automatic writing session.
So the data horders, they have all this data. And it's mostly just useless. And it's harmful if it gets out, some of it. And so, for the most part, they've dammed it up into their system. Now the allegations are . . . that there was an executive order that made the distribution of this puke-inducing data-sewar much wider through the executive order of the last president, who some implie seems to think he still is. I dont' know if thats true. So I can't place blame on the patron saint of super-nova government. If that's true then look down the new distribution list for somene who had access and figure out who it was and then take them out of their offices and make them tell you why and what for.
My guess: roll it back. Roll back the power grabs. Don't let so many people see this data. Maybe immediately susspend the collection of the data, dry up the funding, and see who squacks about it. But all of this would have to be done in secret, and all of the party s to know that thye are not a target and it all goes back to normal as soon as the mole(s) are caught. and then what happens to the moles?
Well, they aren't really moles. They are people working for their own purposes. It ought to be a bipartisan call that this is not how the system works, and that what we have is of great concern.
This is the part where Frodo trys to throw the gold ring into the moltan lavas of Mordor, but Gollum . . . and falls . . .
The situation is serious. It's a hard effort to break people's faith in our snooptocracy.
Problems like this are usually solved from wtihin. The resolution of such serious matters is often left classified. People who create giangantic tomes of alternative conjecture are deemed . . . psuedo entertaining. Some of them get to be phat and famous. The system will survive. The moles might chew through a few wires, but will probably get shocked, themselves, in the process. They will find a little mass of chared something? Someone asks, "Did someones hand muff get electricuted?"
And now I repeat my mantra: most people in government are doing their jobs well and are not on the inside of some eeevvvvvillle conspiracy to 'rule the world' with impunity. If there are problems with seemingly criminal governance it's not the governance, itself, but criminals within that governance, who are the problems. However, the enemies of the system always collectivize the guilt onto the whole system, as if it all needs to be discarded and now we will believe their lies and not the old set of lies that the old regime used. As if they can trash it all and then rebuild another trash-sculpture of lies with their grant money from their trust fund life. And thus have effect in the world and not be irrelevent, the equivalent of what the old Pharroahs of Eygpt would do in building a grand pyramid. And so we have these grand public works projects of cause. And some of it actually works for some of the poeople for some of the time.
The traditional ways all work, no matter how crazy they may seem, for most people most of the time.
And theories of victim
The snake of victimolgy is used as a way to craft a new methodology that favors a certain collectivist urge, but only in some spheres of governance and not others. It usually works to build, and then systemically fail financially so it can be auctioned off for less than nothing to friends of the friends of the final friends and fuduciary fudge farm accounting. The basical cluase that you need to know "All that you are doing is belonging to us."
The collectivizers are dupes of the friends of the friends.
Power abhores a vaccuum. The negligence of grand governance, after they collect, it voids a certain part and allows a certain part, the necessary lives of the survivors of the plundering of nations, and the wage-slaving of populations into regimes of over taxation, and effective vasselship to some grand and unknown governance of . . . and we can't say who it is. But the end of it is nations in dept slavery, having sold off their best assests to 'hedge fund' mavons, and money mongering foreigners. The nation is now a slave to the large 'yum' of some vaster and more corrupt governance of unknown quality.
It's a sick system of unknown rulership, and an excuse for vast and unspeakible street theature of a certain hypnotised group who don't understand that all such stage show politics is always the roll of a dupe.
Keep it civil, people. There is nothing to win here. It is what it is and only civility will maintain your own roll in it all.
At this point the author ponders which of this to post. Some of it's very far out, and most of it is just made up. But the truths you learn, even through fantasy endevour, can not be unlearned. You jump from bolder to bolder, and free a sward from a stone, but it is only virtual. Yes, you know how to make the video game character jump and grab. People, in this world, are not video game characters. We are not dossiers to be leaked. We are humans who have real needs. And governance and government only exists to fulfill those needs for all the people. When it stops being that, when it becomes an internacine smack down of unholy malcontents of too much authority ann wihtout civility?
Equilibriums are reestablished. Most things will work for most people, 99.9999999999 of the people will never have to worry about being violated. General Flynn should have been one of those who didn't get violated. That is why this event, applauded by some who haven't thoguht it through, is a serious breech of the public trust. But I trust that still, most in government do what is right. They work for the justice that we call crave. They believe in privacy. They understand why doing this, even to political 'enemies' is a very bad prescidence.
In one sense the violation of General Flynn's privacy rights is like the breech at the emergency spillway at the Oroville Dam. It is of major importance that the breech be fixed as soon as possible. But, with the spillway, it's all done in the light of day, and by the dark of night if necessary to save lives. The breech with the NSA phone data? It will be fixed in the secret spaces of government, and mostly out of sight of the public. But, it, too, will be work on what has been spoiled. the action to fix it ought to be bipartisan and swift.
Expect no more breeches like what happened to General Flynn. Or, if we do get more, then expect the kind of upset like the 200,000 evacuees had in The Central Valley this week.
The engineers of this spy-tocracy ought to be very worried that their data-works breech might cause some kind of giant collapse of unknown nature. You built the monster, now make it safe. It's your Kaiju, so you call it home. Send in the twins to sing their soouthing song.
Become Untriggerable be triggered to untrigger, neigh, be free of that kind of operation. become untriggerable It's not very far from handsome luminous political visionary to the perp room. don't just be a legend in your own mind . . . keep yourself out of jail there is no virtue is rioting. There are no awards for looting. You will get a lot of attention. You will be sought, but they won't let you back on that stage till you spend some time in a cage. There is no virtue in political violence nothing useful for the future, no multi-generational urge fulfilled, or happy ancestors finally glad that something real has finally occured. the rvolution was generations ago. No need for any of that old-world nonsense here. If you need a revolution the only ones of value and, with a do-it-yourself quality: you have a revolution of heart. you expand your purpose by withdrawing from your own delusions. you work on yourself first and you stop there. Help when they need you to help. Be there to carry and bring. If you think it's only glass, glass is very expensive. Even though glass seems cheep, and common, and almost of little or no value the fact is that it is one of our most important resources, and valuble and would be very hard to replace if it were all to suddenly need to be with some alternative material. Breaking glass and windows, shattering doors, or floor to ceiling architectural panes is the sign of temper tantrum. It's not to be encouraged. there is no applause for you, if you behave as such. The logistics of glass, the billoting for all of the glass-replacement guys, the people in the office scehduleing the appointment to come and do the replacement but they can't do it for a few days. It doesn't happen all at once. They got to ship it in, it's a special fit. It might take a week or two because of back order. Ship it in, it's a special fit. How come you can't wait a day or three or 21? Shivering in the cold with the rain blowing in? At the highschool where they smashed out all the windows no body can go to glasses without wearing a coat. And crows and ravens fly through the giant hollow casements and lower classmen running for cover, one being carried away by a giant condor something he'd never seen before. and because it'd become such a great nesting place for rare birds The EPA Came there one day and declared it a Hollywood High Forest Preserve in the upper part of that giant theatre famous people going to see their kids's kids perform and everyone clapping even thourh there are not glass panes in the giant casements. They can wait another year, month, day, and amybe the person from the glass company will call them back when their special order panes finally become available You should alreayd know all of this. The logistics of getting windows replaced special order panes. There were no panes at the county jail they'd all been smashed out. So the prisoners sat and shivered. Send in the lawyers. The judge rules that the windows be replaced the lawyer say boyyettee! the custodian of the big public building had already planned to do all of that budget to come from the fund for the ??? the logistics of replacing glass? Who gets to pay and who must stay in the cold room huddled. Oh, that lawyer loved loved that young protestors so very very much that that lucky judge, handsome second pages all of their smiling pictures, that judge let the happy lawyer go and bring our little detainee extra blankets to protect him from the snowflakes tumbling in through the open casements.
