John Kerry and Diplomatic Lurching.

comments concerning John's UN speech scheduled for later today

John Kerry, you are four years too late with your speech. A 'last chance' for 'a two state solution' from a group that doesn't want the United States of America to have meaningful borders? You want to impose them by fiat elsewhere, which is how all the trouble started in the first place in 1948.

Mr Kerry, today you should stand before the UN, take the speech that the Obamaites gave you. Look at it and say something akin to 'today I was going to give this speech, but I realize that we need to work with the incoming administration. I will offer my service to our President Elect. See you in a month.'

Your efforts are too little, too late, and too frantic. Stop trying to be the hero, at which you always fail, John, when you try to be that. (being heroic isn't to strive for.).

Stop with this, Mr. Kerry. You might only bring humiliation to yourself, and ridicule for generations to come.

In engineering, some people like to play the hero. Especially with software. They have the last minute patch. It's not that a patch won't work. It's just that last minute patches don't get proper testing. You can't just insert in some new lines of code and solve that problem. In the case of your diplomacy effort, you have to understand that we are in the midst of a social revolution where (some) of us see that the institutions of governance, at all levels, are in a serious need or review, and possible reformation. And that many of our institutions have been infested with a self-entitled 'diplomat' class of those who imagine themselves as special, and more important than the rest of us. And the failures, the institutional failures , of the governance of your party-mates, let many of us yearn for a rolling back of much of what has been implemented, by non-democratic 'administrative orders' over the last 8 years. Standing from a position of almost complete organizational failure, you should not be so bold as to try and dictate borders to foreign governments.

Your efforts right now are akin to a child on a beach building a sand castle right before a high tide. All of his efforts will be washed away. Can't you go away for a month, John. And then reappear on the other side as Mr. Trump's liaison? If you go talk to him and tell him your good ideas, about Israel and The Levant, if they really are good ideas, my guess is that Trump will want to use them. If they are good ideas they can wait 25 days, can't they? Your urgency, right now, betrays something, doesn't it? It's obvious, isn't it? Or am I just a menshce (unlikely) what it seems to me is that your ideas are probably flawed and one-sided, which is why you want to force them our our ally, Israel.

I'm not saying that some of what you have isn't going to work, with negotiation and modification. But the Israelis shouldn't be force fed a solution by a lame duck president and diplomatic lurching.
