Politics for Poets

political rant, hear it now, here and now

on the betrayal of the self-stablishment (a mythical ubber class)

against the rest of us, and against themselves, and the charity of past generations, and all of us (especially themselves).

note: no actual person/people would ever admit to be of this mythical class, the self-stablishment which simply represents an archtype of a political creature. No actual politcal people would ever be so self-serving, we can hope

written week of March 1, 2016

Today I read Rush's transcripts and hear him (I read him,but he said it, so I hear him) explaining to the political class, who dare to read him, about why so many people feel that a major transformation of politics as usual is due this election cycle. We want to polish up the old rusty gears and take our votes out for a fun little 'bike around the city' action. Let's use those halls of power, let's get taken into those courts of justice with our hand ball racket, and tromp all over those who would dare to get in our way while we hunker together in a scrum of 'we are already in motion'. 'they' are scared? 'they' are amazed? They are addicted to order and control and can't fathom a change in leadership in political positions? They want that job for life every-week is paid for. They are the law and order people demanding only their law and their order?

In actuality most in government, governance, and institution, function well in their positions and do not seek to profiteer off of the office in which they fulfill well the duties, and more, of being good citizens, defining it their way, of course, so, yes, it's relative. And if you want to think that they are all 'takers' and never givers, if you want to think that they would buy into a dank and fowl festerboggian view (which might make fun fiction) of political people . . . that every one of them snickers when they see us lessers, in view . . . they say it's poison patriotism? Perhaps someone says this as a talking point in some presentation? Thought about it? Is it not just hyperbole? A negotiating technique? People forget that Trump is a master of that form of negotiation.

Hyperbole of desired outcome. It should be obvious to any one.

So now Rush is saying that the NYT has an 'off the record' interview with Donnie Trump, in which Mr. Trump admits that the idea of banning all Muslims or others as such ridiculous statements of obvious hyperbole, that anyone should readily see; if they are thinking outside the hive mind of the buzz fed to them by politically tainted . . . feeds. Dare I ascribe real names to this feeding of the tainted buzz?

Tainted buzz
Tainted buzz
sometimes I fret
that all my friends will regret
they always make a fuss
if I quote Russ (rush)
They always turn away
and head for the next bus (hush)

Tainted buzz
Tainted buzz.
It's not OK
to say you 'hate the fuzz'
I hate the way you bait
Why do you snort snark snot and hate?

You don't really care for anything of me
So leave me alone, let me be free
Tainted buzz.

Well, ya, so. I guess the ones who don't tune in every so often don't get it that Rush is just another normal guy in his normal guy place and he's not an idiot. He's right on it. And he's saying (seems to be saying) that the 'stablishment (I put it in a form of compressed derision) that the self-stablishment (I put it in the form of a new combination of phonemes as a way to create a new word) the self-stablishment, those who are in the game only for their own self-ish selves, that group of soul sucking jerks (and it would be a percentage, a small fraction, of all of the people in the hall and fields of governance).

Basic point: there are the royal feeding self-servers, who, by nature buzz all the way up as far as they can go to try to get to the top of what they see as the top. But they have an inverted nature, and being so selfish (which is a temporary thing), these self-stablisment people naturally have a great big unspoken urge to rule to power. They want to be the queen bee in a queen bee tocracy (the queen could be of any, or of unknown, gender, why should it matter?).

and so they live in the hive mind view of things, as if their thoughts are the only valid thoughts, and that their methods are the best methods. And it's not even ever anything that they thought of themslevs, but what the agenda of whatever organization of governance for which they work has issued. It's their little 'must be like this' list. (previous assumption has big flaws, but the jist is that they aren't often even original thinkers). They think with the institional mind? Of course they could not, so any such belief would have to be delusion. The fact is that the same ideology, when fed into the mind of those prone to delusion, and who don't use critical thinking, or use logic and Reason, the same ideology can map to something completely different in a different person.

People who are used to their institution gettings it's way. They have a petulance and an obstructionist way about them: imagining that regimes of control: 'on message process', has a long term and useful, and necessary, effect upon 'the will' of the 'people'.

What about the will of the individual? Because if you collect all of that it, from every one who is part of the process (that means voters and anyone living), the 'will' of the 'people' is something very different than that described by the 'on-message' institutional process-mongers.

the idea of 'will' of 'the people' is a great concept for discussions of Historical events when a gloss is good enough for the junior class, the introduction, within the broad sweep of History. But the idea that the very many individual wills make up one real will, with which we are allowed to make policy that is whatever we want it to be . . . that idea is a form of totalitarian delusion under which no real member of any institution or governance could ever display, for real, to the public: because they would immediately be seen as having gone off-rail (the democracy rail), and coo-coo (coo coo is a term meaning: worthy of furious and hilarious roasting on the stages in the comic halls by insult comics of ribald character).

And thus, I conclude, and I am not really doing this with the rules of expository discussion, my conclusion: the huminus politicus corruptus is an archtype: it is used in a type of writing, not really fiction writing, but a kind with an equal kind of quality. We have one of the minds of that generation saying that the people have had it with the establishment and that it isn't about Trump, or Sanders, or Cruz, or any of the reformers. It's about the people. It's about the people behind them. It's about the millions of us who have let the self-stablishment think that they speak for the 'will' (of what people? ) of 'the people', and that anyone who disagrees is a . . . .and they use some subhumanating phrase.

Meanwhile there seems as if there is a war on the decorum of dealing with law enforcement, and people talking -stuff about cops, as if they are all corrupt, and the constant race and class baiting and accusations about 'white' men. Blah Blah Blah.

So if you read a script written by someone else, and we've figured out that is all you are really doing, repetitious and almost robotic, why are you angry at us for mocking you for being a puppet or a servo-unit collection in humanoid form (SUCIHF) such a fake.

And who am I talking to? All those who believe that Trump is evil, and that his followers are deluded. Come on.

You're just not paying attention.

In any case I found it fascinating how Rush went off into an anti academic and class-based explanation of the clue-less tocracy.

The thing is that most people in governance do good for the people, and thus do well for themselves. It's those who are only self serving, who hive together and call themselves the cream (rulership class) that might cause a problem by thinking of themselves as a better hive. If they really don't believe in democracy anymore, and think that they know best, they might conspire against the rest of us and try and thwart the urges of democracy.

What is the will of the poeple? Certainly they don't know either, so why listen to them?

And so while we may not be able to say that we know what that will is, that fiction will. We can say that we know what it is not. And thus the only way to get things done is through process, and we'd like that to be democratic.

In any case the mistake that a group, a head in the sand group, a control freak group hive, the mistake that they can make is thinking that they get to say what the will, is, of the people, that all must follow, and ignore the freewill which we all already have and about which they have no control.

Governments must allow for idiosyncratic expression. They must allow for the flower blooming unexpectedly. Governments need mutation of process, and a natural purpose that aids the people. When that stops, when it only aids the few, no one can hide obvious favoritism. The people figure it out. And then they try to use process to effect change only to be thwarted by self-stablishment types who think that their will is the will that the people must follow?

No.

recommended reading: The Major Ordeals of the Mind, and the Countless Minor Ones by Henri Michaux; published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1974

In the 1940's and 1950's in Paris Mr. Michaux explored the breakdown of reason and awareness as it occurs during the delusions induced through deprevation or mental break due to drug-stupper. He did all of this so that you, dear reader, don't ever have to. If you wonder about these things, please, do not do your own experiments. Instead read a book like Mr. Michaux's.

MISSING YOU TONIGHT

a song in the tradition of crooners
and lovers true

words and lirics by Dude Willicker

Missing you
tonight
Missing you
while the moon is bright
tonight
tonight
I'll ne'er be blue
when I'm with you.
Missing you
tonight
sound of the forest
and star light
tonight
tonight
while the river is bright
with the Moon reflecting
as rivers of light

Missing you
tonight
Missing you
while the Moon is bright
the forest sways
the river sasheys
the clouds roll in
but they just augment the sight

Missing you
tonight
Missing you
with the moon so bright
tonight
I'll never be blue
I'll never be blue
if I'm with you

if you don't have proper fonts installed you won't see what this picture shows: the output of the echo command with unicode symbols as input. If you are blind basically the unicode are symbols that you could feel as shapes. If you have a 'font box', which would be like that divice with all the pins in it that you can place your hand inside, and the shape of your hand will appear on the surface. If such a thing locked, it would then let a blind person feel it and they would feel the shape. such a device that does that for font shapes would greatly aid the blind. It would be a 'kind of' high resolution new-braille. Call it a 'sean-box' font reader.

will? Maybe I've not ordered the elements properly. Well that little snippit doesn't work that well but t

when angels and devils are
dancing together
there ain't nothing
you can do about it.
Who can tell which is which?
why do you need to know?
stop cataloging everyone long enough
to join in, and have fun at the dance.
I'm not saying that you have to dance, if you can't
but who says that you can't?
why don't I shut up?
why aren't I dancing?
too look a fool with you you think I'm scared
as long as everyone keeps it civil
on the dancefloor.
Politics is like a dance floor?

when democrats and republicans are
dancing together . . .
