recommended reading: The Major Ordeals of the Mind, and the Countless Minor Ones by Henri Michaux; published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1974

In the 1940's and 1950's in Paris Mr. Michaux explored the breakdown of reason and awareness as it occurs during the delusions induced through deprevation or mental break due to drug-stupper. He did all of this so that you, dear reader, don't ever have to. If you wonder about these things, please, do not do your own experiments. Instead read a book like Mr. Michaux's.

 silent poems scream
 revenge for pain
 never felt
 get over it


    

when angels and devils are
dancing together
there ain't nothing
you can do about it.
Who can tell which is which?
why do you need to know?
stop cataloging everyone long enough
to join in, and have fun at the dance.
I'm not saying that you have to dance, if you can't
but who says that you can't?
why don't I shut up? 
why aren't I dancing?
too look a fool with you you think I'm scared
as long as everyone keeps it civil
on the dancefloor.
