But it's hard not to love the authentic NewYorkness of Mr. Trump. I try to tell them that all they say that's negative about Trump is what many people say about New Yorkers, in general (from the city). So if you 'hate' Trump for that reason, then what are you going to do if you have to travel to Manhattan? But people from NYC would be able to tell me how I am full of it, if they don't like Donald either. But did you like him on The Apprentice? Then why don't you like him now?
Well, if you think that the government needs a competent manager at the helm, then you probably do like Donald Trump. Or if you feel that it's time for a change, and maybe we can salvage the Republican party? Then you probably like Trump. And we don't mind that what he says is often needing edit. He's willing to put in the time to rework his solutions. Ideas are often sequencial in time, and the bad idea often proceeds the good ones that will work. At least he someon with an open mind willing to vocalize the various concepts, banty them about, put the ideas out at topics for public discourse, and try to find good solutions to real world problems. Listen to the ideas and then, if you feel there are flaws, flay his arguments, but not him. And when you are right, he's going to admit that you are.. But one small win? you want to void everything he says after that? or everthing that he did before because he doesn't meet the PC requirements. Only a brainwashed and hypnotized teleprompter reading puppet would be able to never say contriversial and unPC things.
So the smearing doesn't work on Donald Trump. He can say things off the cuff, that need rework, and we know that if he gets it wrong, he will correct himself. He is open for hearing competent voices. That is why he runs with things that people say. He wants a solution.
It is no small thing to have been the star of a number one television show like he was. No small thing. He has thus been pre-vetted.
And so, object to him for his politics if you do, fine. But don't slander his good nature. And don't lie about what kind of person he is. And stop using words as nooses. Unless it's made into policy, and voted on by congress, and signed by the president, it's just talk up to then. And even, sometimes after that, bad ideas do get put into law. And then we need clever people to untangle the mess of regulations and self-serving governance that engulfs the citizenry with senseless and ineffective mandates and unfunded obligations for new entitlements that will lead to eventual fiscal downgradding (collapse?). We need smart people who aren't beholden to the mobs of the various governances, someone independant of the dot-org food chain of secret cleptocracy, and governance of administrators first, loot the future to pay for the present yummery.
