The Left Column
So I salvaged the rug. I pulled it into the kitchen and set up the other dehumidifier and some fans. Then I procured 'rug cleaner'. No, not toupee cleaner but carpet cleaner. I used that on the part of the rug that needed some dirt removed (from when it slammed down upon the ground from when I tossed it out the window just the night before, as described in a previous vignette. So now, happily cleaned and vacuumed to an extreme, it's up there still needing more vacuuming.
I've got pine trees that shed. The needles end up everywhere. They pose a major annoyance.
Well, so, ten year old rug is back in place. Or is it twenty year old rug? I think there may be a date upon the back in black marker. Maybe next time the dehumidifier door-tank breaks . . . I'll figure it out before it happens and not have a flood again.
So, problems solved, and room almost back to normal.
