The Left Column

Politics for Poets

let them yum off and fade.

Aug 5, 2015

But if the craven want revenge? The craven. What does that mean, 'craven'?

Well it seems to be describing a state of mind that some harbor which sets them off on a rampage of mean trying to get repaired for damages that may be real or imagined, but are most likely just the cost of love and life, living and forgiving, forbearing the ridiculous ways of those who hang onto their delusions about their importance and the status of their type/kind/clan/tribe/wahteva.

The kind/type of person who has such delusions often does ignore the other bonds between people. Or, if they understand that kind of bond, too, they often have a dual personality, of sorts, where they go all 'us' verses 'them' while in discourse, and suddenly have a seeming legions of opposed type/kind/clan/tribe/wahteva posed against each other, writing History as a great big and eternal us verse them kind of putrid casting of people as 'peoples', plural; as if brothers are different from brothers, or tyrannies can only exist in one type/kind/clan/tribe/wahteva, but not, no never, in theirs.

They do not see individuals then, the special person who is a gift from God to you (and maybe only to you) just as the dawn is a sweet gift of living and rising given to each person, creature, every day. We take it and do with it as we may. The person who paints with that two-tone brush, always can harbor a mono-print world view. If there are birds they are all the same color. Or there is only two.

Individuals are not a consideration in a world view like this. If someone speaks with the style of discussions about type/kind/clan/tribe/wahteva then the 'all' is often imagined as part of it, as if individuals can't grow, as if people don't progress, as if someone doesn't become a grand humanitarian and drag their family along with them. Rise up. Be better. But what does any of that mean if it's just you and me? What are we all trying to prove anyway?

What, indeed or in fact? What? To prove our virtue?

I had a friend, who is now just an acquaintance, who used to always talk about the 'struggle' of his 'people'. I thought I was his best friend when I used to believe in that. Now I do believe in best friends, but to me it means anyone. Anyone is your best friend or could be. Though some are much more preferred to you. That's OK. And the ones that you like the most, who make you feel like life is wonderful, "they are so pretty", they might be put off to the side in your life because you are too scared to go after their friendship. You simply don't believe that you are good enough for them. Of course you are. Because if they are as wonderful as you know that they could be (they will always amaze you and give you a better view than you could ever imagine) then they would lift you up to them, or climb up to you, or put you on an equal footing. Equality is only about some things. We can never be equal in our uniqueness.

As we are all like that perfect dawn, first light of the day, different every time, the light catches up to us, As we are all so perfect and wonderful to someone, or some few, and in some cases to millions, as we are all so perfect, and yet the same but unique . . . we can not be 'equal' in our uniqueness.

 What do you hope for?
What's it that you're talkin' about?
What's it make you (start) screaming and shouting
Do you claim to truth if your living without it?
 Tell me now
 What do you hope for?
 Tell me now
 What do you hope for?

What they claim is good
 for 'the environment'
   really sucks
    for the forest.

how hard is it to use these new symbols in your stuff? Well, first you need to know that they exist. Second, you can just cut and paste them.

I've got a message for . . . Mr Bash (an alias for someone else). Mr Bash, if I use brace expansion with the dot-dot idiom, ie like this:

echo -e {🌃..🌅}{🌍..🌏}{🌑..🌚}" "

why does that not work when

echo -e {🌃,🌄,🌅}{🌍,🌎,🌏}{🌑,🌒,🌓,🌔,🌕,🌖,🌗,🌘,🌙,🌚}" "

 this outputs a little easier:
 echo -e {🌃,🌄,🌅}{🌍,🌎,🌏}{🌑,🌒,🌓,🌔,🌕,🌖,🌗,🌘,🌙,🌚}" "|fmt -w 45

in order to find symbols that you don't have
yet, you can input the code into the echo command
with the hex number of the symbol.
There is a way to echo out blocks of code.
If you try and echo out a million characters you will
experience . . . issues with performance.

Also: unless you have the fonts that define these you
don't see the pretty characters.

here is an image that shows you the output
that I see from the echo on my system:

alright, then, with that, I can do something
creative (as I have done before, see the message column)
with my output.

if you don't have proper fonts installed you won't see what this picture shows: the output of the echo command with unicode symbols as input. If you are blind basically the unicode are symbols that you could feel as shapes. If you have a 'font box', which would be like that divice with all the pins in it that you can place your hand inside, and the shape of your hand will appear on the surface. If such a thing locked, it would then let a blind person feel it and they would feel the shape. such a device that does that for font shapes would greatly aid the blind. It would be a 'kind of' high resolution new-braille. Call it a 'sean-box' font reader.

will? Maybe I've not ordered the elements properly. Well that little snippit doesn't work that well but t

well . . .

May you always love the snarky know-it-all.

Especially when they are at their most annoying, and dead wrong on the subject.

Sychophancy is so pathetic: the hacker army.

there is no hacker arm mee.
this site, while describing things
such as super cush honey paught
(don't you love me, my babe babe eee)
does not in fact employ such devices.
the poem 'honey paught' actually serves as a warning
concerning other sites. This non commercial site
does not seek to threaten or to oppose anyone excpet that they
are met with the force of the back-at-cha where all your crap
gets flung right back at you.
Honey pots are a real deal thing and probably explain why some
things that seem so f-d up are the way that they are.
People are never as stupid as they seem in the press.
Never as vile and immoral as they come off in the papers, never
as mean as their public persona.

so be nice.
even to those who you think are politically out-of-control.
"do good for those who hate you."

  Praise God!
