Or don't. No one is. What does it matter? Disappointing people keep disappointing. It's not any different this year.

Ya, their whistling in the graveyard. I'm channeling into the discontents of a poet's blog. It's all meaningless. They don't improve. I don't care to watch them anymore.

They fade. I don't need to do anything. Not doing. It's not even doing.

Nothing doing.

Ya, when you stop believing in things . . . they often just fade away. The fear that you had is resolved through education. Those things that used to vex . . . become just memories of the perplexion of youth. Times that seems so firm and feelings that seemed 'seasonally forever' suddenly are no longer. Some random memory no longer keeps you hypnotized with expecation of Happy Easter. The bunny only hops over to you if it thinks you don't have any hostile intention. Bunnies are all psychic (so it seems) because they always know to hop away when you start chasing them. I've never tested this theory. It's just a literary conjecture.

I think that skepticism is often holy activity, even if it leads to an admission that the fears are all unfounded, that there is no reason for the discontent expressed. The horror of the immoral and anti-democratic bend in the psychological makeup of some of the power monger class ought not to vex or upset. Unless you see it first hand, anything you hear or read about famous and powerful people could just be more Fud from the Fud factory.

And when things are reported that seem to indicate criminal behavior? And the powerful are not held to account? Do people continue with the delusion those powermad people care at all about good government and civic duty? They abandon the places that tehy are from. They care not for the municipalities that they used to govern and live where the money and power is? How can we take them seriously as leaders? Of course they can't lead.

And when people like that do get put into positions of power and authority over men, well, then, those positions are then discredited. It doesn't matter how high you think the office is, when you disrespect the people, you are not respected yourself. You can be the holder of whatever you think is the most important office. The office will then achieve your stature. It will mirror who you are. You will not be able to ride on the reputation of your predicessors. You are then the definition of what that office is. If you suck then so does that office during your tenure.

And if base and crass and bossy assholes dominate through bully tactics and psycological mindgames, usurping the institutions and generating adherance to group-think delusions, like sometimes happens, if you get into an office like that you diminish the office. It's looses it's stature. It doesn't have the authority and power that it used to have. You can say jump and the people will say 'no you jump.' If you are not a leader it doesn't matter what your office is . . . you won't be a leader.

So, well, we have this office. It's been diminished. It no longer garners respect. It is held by a petty and vindictive crowd who seek to stiffle any free speach of opposition. The people no longer hear them. The people no longer listen. It's only the peanut gallery sychophants who have their fangs deep into the vein of the public coffers . . . who cheer it all on. No one believes these people. No one reads their opinion pieces anymore. No one cares what supposedly important ambassadors have to say. They have made a mockery of truth and they don't care about the rule of law so . . . how can anyone give them authority, follow their direction? Why would anyone follow their orders?

I think if it's reasonable. If it makes sense. Some are just trained to.

Well, it's probably like this during any exceptionally corrupt and self-serving regime. We'll survive, all of those who want to live honestly without getting special favors from government, or living our whole lives off of public trusts without really ever giving anything back . . . Can you really put names on it? If these people were real wouldn't they see their piggishness and fix the situation? Unless you're on the inside of it, what can you do? They'll just have you stomped out of existance. They will get theres, if they are real, and you don't have to do anything. If they really are that crazy, and it's not just novelettic rants, if they are power mad and Hitler/Stalin like in their behaviors . . . The World will deal with them in the time and season appropriate. No one gets to be the sudden godhead anymore. It's not allowed. Not by the wind, not by the rain, not by contemplatives locked within silent wordless prayer (who affect no measures, and are a-political )

If people really are as horible as some on the Internet say, won't it all be self correcting? Don't they see that they don't really believe in the systems that they seek to run? Don't they see that anti-democrats, demogogic politicians, are antithema to Democracy? Will we really need to endure another candidate who is clueless addicted to the power and lusts for more of it? Can't we have someone who actually cares about someone other than their own prodgeny and their family, as if they really believe that they are some kind of aristocrat? Can't we just exclude anyone like that from any chance of a posibility of standing for election?

Ya, I know, I'm just asking a bunch of unanswerable questions. Ya, I know, I'm not naming the exact politicians, but I'm sure you can guess who I mean. I don't believe that every election should be billed as Frodo enters Morder struggle for the hearts and minds of the future. We have a serious crop of demogouges with too much power and control, and it should be divested. How? Well, first: the idea that a non-profit shouldn't pay taxes: it's just wrong. Tax them like any other service industry especially if they take political money. Why are they exempt if they monger for the power elite? And as far as that goes: does anyone believe that we are taking food away from starving people if we tax the so-called non-profits? People will still feed the Hungrey, and still do, even though they have to pay taxes to do it. Special case super charity run by superwealthy is just a fraud. WE all know it. WE've always known it. And yet we persist with the idea that we actually are helping by giving this tax break, which is so often abused. If anything by taking away the tax break don't we incourage people to think a little harder about where they give their money?

And as far as it goes: the tax break only applies if you pay income tax! And it's higher, and much more lucrative for people in a high tax bracket! So the people who can well afford it get this huge kick back, often when they get a quid-quo-pro on their 'donation'.

But it's a lot more complicated than this. Really they could do a much better job trying to assure that donated monies don't end up as 'salaries' for 'officers' of the charity to attend lucrative board meetings in exotic locales, and to be compenstaed for their 'work for the board.' A wealthy son of a son of a wealthy son could have many multiples of these 'seats' on many different 'charities'. I think it would be fair that moneies paid like this would be taxed. The charity would need to pay a tax on the salaries to people who don't really need it, but it just feathers their nest. In other words: the salery of someone would have to be known at tax filing time, their total income, and only so much of it could be from so-called non-profits or the non-profit would have to pay a tax on that and the peopel who donate wouldn't get to deduct the part of their donations paid as salery for wealthy fruadsters and false-charity board members. They know who they are if they are real. They may not be real. But if they are . . . they should not be allowed to keep getting fat off of non-taxed donations of rubes (people who donate to their false charities).

And you know that the current crop of reformers are frauds because they refuse to even approach this issue. Could it be that so many of them do just as I say? Sitting on many 'boards' of a plethora of non-profits and taking a big piece from each, getting rich in the process: I call this false charity. And I do say that there may not really be anyone doing this.

Bottom line: trusts and charities are important and should be preserved and supported through favorible tax code . . . but . . . there should be a better accounting and a census of those who run and profit from such activities so that none are able to get fat and live in splendid oppulence off of salaries derived from running public charities. How can we do that? Through modifiy the way that officers of such trusts and charities get their compensation. Perhaps a Bursar of Public Charity Payroll. Details of this to be available after much more clever minds think it thorugh, make it fair, and make it not be a punative thing for those who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar (if there are any). My basic idea is that if someone is already at a high enough income for a good life how is it charitible for them to feather their nests with extreme compensation from a public-trust or charity?

I know that this topic angers some. They think that it is to confiscatory. THat is not what I am suggesting. I am suggesting that working for a 'charity' actually should be a non-enriching righteous act. When people get wealthy doing it, it isn't charity, really, anymore.
