midnight movie reviews

If I write before bed, in the early A.M., post Midnight, I have much less restraint in what I post. I will put it up, warts and all.

If I write in the morning after coffee and a good nights sleep, I write a lot more and post a lot less. I worry a lot more about 'quality' then. I'll type 15 or 20 paragraphs and then pull the copy out of the page so I can pull it into a word processor. Especially when I am talking about real things, for commentary on public people.

The poems here are often spontanious and without edit. Why? That is just how I do it. Then I revise them, take out the mistakes. Why don't I make the perfect 'at first'? There is no perfection in poetry. Perfection is a quality of the reader. The reader either likes or does not like a piece and thus he/she/? will read it or not read it.

The reason that pourly edited copy gets here is because it is a first draft. There is a rule of speed typing, do not backspace for mispellings and errors, do that later. That way the flow of the mind is 'captured'. There is a lot more going on in your mind, and you can always think really fast, probably faster than you can type. So sometimes when I am in it, my mind is ahead of my fingers and I am trying to catcyh up so I drop a few words. Then, it's later, I've been doing the automatic typing thing for a long time and I just want to blog it out there.

If I'm in a hurry, and to make a point, I just throw it up. I probably does need an edit.

He's the giddy, funny,
Tee-eM-Zee dude
sometimes he makes gestures
that are crude
Some times he's tired like he just woke up
or spent the night, and never slept
a collaccy baby won't let you sleep?
He spent his night chasing Johnny Depp?
He's got his kid in a carrier sleeping?
If the patrol sees this, his wife will be weeping.
Midnight car ride, it's LA.
You never know what a rock star will say.
Hey, if you really want to be free
you love the funny folk of  Tee-eM-Zee.

The (high-IQ? zero-restraint 
    from creepy inappropriate 
      remarks) dude in the Back

He's the snarky in-appropo Tee-eM-Zee lawyer.
He doesn't care if he makes fun of his employer.
He's wicked smart with advanced degrees
but there are other things that he just doesn't see.
He'll go on and on about the specifics of how he peas
And he says these things with little or no regret,
disturbing things that we quickly want to forget.
And the giddy dude now grimmaces with a frown
listening to the inappropriatly spetic commentary 
 of this Haraaavaaddd clown.
But they know this guy's a good one, if not always appropo
he's worthy of some loving, just so you know
especially since he doesn't think so.
And someone so smart, so handsome and so free
is most assuredly worthy
he does say things unfiltered, like the out-there friend
who deals with concepts with which most people will not tend
at least not ever publicly
But they will, and broadcast it, on Tee-eM Zee.

It's dinner time, your watching on TV
a group of folks selected by Har-Vee
and his twenty-some-where friends in LA, free.


Ah the brillience of letting people speak their minds
and choosing every and all of the different kinds
of free thinking people yearning to fly free
They go and inspect, and tell you what they see
They might hold back the 'truth' when it's exceptionally nasty
there are some things that they will not show.
But there other times when it's like "Where did they just go!"
They say the things other shows will not air.
They must be getting it right
because the public seems to care.
We like to hear and listen to what the people say,
the real way people feel, to which we would convey
a head tilt, a smile, and some grace.
We can all get along, no matter what color is your face.
And arguing often makes us know
some new ways in which our thoughts can grow.
We can better understand the business of LA
When we have people who can honestly will say
what is going on, as people see,
brought to you by their patron named Har-Vee.
And, yes, he will be a patron, but
not always a saint
accept to say "don't insist to say things that ain't" (great big ouch)

I like to hear real people speaking their mind. 
When I catch tee=em-eZzee, that seems to be what I find.
