The stories of these hero cops are free and available for you to read on-line, so please, go off and do that if you still harbor anykind of general malice towards strangers who are also in police service. The real stories of police are mostly about service.

So please appreciate the necessity of the Police, and that we should not make them out to be villians. Slander is a hard thing to charge a person who is 'just saying' about a broad group and with generality. So can we say that certain politicians are mucking it up with a rake? Why waste out time when, instead, we can pray for the good souls of heros like Officer Shae. So let's do that.

When officers are on duty it might not be a good idea to distract them by thanking them if they are directing traffic, or somehow doing some kind of other on-duty activity. They best is to let them go about their business.

People are generally psychic, mostly thorugh being able to read people's demeanour. And so, they can tell when other have displeasure. And so if you harbour ill towards anyone, they are an antenna that can pick it up (not everyone has this capacity, but enough people do). So when you send ill-will towards a service person, a police officer, a toll-taker, people with forward face to the public, a cashier, they can sense it. So if you go around with thoughts of hate in your head toward anyone, don't you think that they can sense it and, because they are just human too, maybe they feed your hate right back at cha? We expect better than that from the Police. So, because that is what we want from police, when we think there is hate that they don't give it back, we should be the same way too. After all, they are in a service job (yes it is) and they are doing their best (maybe not as well as lawyers and fussy busy-bodies would like, who profiteer off of the pain). So if you give them the 'how may I assist' and don't give them a rash of hate and poo, then, well, guess what . . . they are human beings and they will be human for you.

Love. It means that you don't act like a sychophant, but respect someone who is on-duty. Respect, it means that you try and assist when there is a call to do so, and you do not second-guess someone while they are on the job. If you do have concerns as to how the transction occured, haven't all of the fussy-crats, who don't stop speeders or drunks in traffic, and don't always appreciate the danger of being in the industry of protection of the public. Drunk drivers, by the way, continue to be a menace. And police attending to a drunk who is stopped, or crashed and killed people, is one of the most dangerous jobs. Mud-rakeing politician? Not as dangerous a job.

So the next time you are high and driving when you shouldn't be, and you get popped for being a drunken methed-up duffus, who knows better, just give it up. Pull over. get yourself some help. It's not the police officer's fault that your a dumb drunken methhead on crack. But maybe now that you're being booked you can get yourself into somekind of rehab? Just because you are a junky doesn't mean that you have to be an anti-social moron. So why be angry at the police for doing their jobs when it's you that's high and driving and crashing into things, and carrying bags of very hard drugs that have been causing an epodemic?

And what do the various political grandstanders have to say about the crisis in overdoses? Maybe that would be a thing to protest: overdose. It's a real plauge. And who are they that show up and find the dead kids with needles sticking out of their arms? Often it's those same police, the ones that the muck-rakers villianize. And then they have to tell the relatives. They have to meet the children or the parents. They have to comfort a 4 and a 10 year old whose 'middle-class' parents are found dead, and get them to social services and tell the grandparents, and appease the local politicians who say "it's a nice neighborhood."

So cut the cops some slack. No one wants overdoses. Police are on the front line of this battle. So give them some love. Show them respect. Understand that they have a very hard job.
