The Left Column

Politics for Poets

Oh, it is ugly in the Ukraine, in Burma, Argentina (not as bad), all over the world. It's a time of peril and caios with active propaganda going on with scurilous lying as a way of life. And people putting 'diplomatic' curses on other people. Here is a clue for cursers: what you think you curse is actually against yourself! Am I wrong? I don't try it to find out so I might be but I don't think that I am.

Strange times when the Russian leader is the one who is doing what he needs to do and minding his own business, trying to bring stability to the world. Very sad when our diplomats are self-entitled potty-mouthed cowards who direct bullys to go bully at the beheast of who the hell knows. There are so many theories about it and do you need to know my delusions on the subject? When you see a possessed man do you need to know the names of all of his demons? What are the demons that possess the politics of the West? We know how the spooky zombies are, who seem to have some secret edge and an army of dedicated undead out there stomping on everyone else. And then we have people hiding from drones in Mexico. So . . . strange times. Strange times indeed.

πŸ€. What more could we want then luck? Hard work helps. Persistence. Purpose. A sense that things get better if we place truth in the thoughts of them. The expectation of communal and unspoken correct society.

how hard is it to use these new symbols in your stuff? Well, first you need to know that they exist. Second, you can just cut and paste them.

I've got a message for . . . Mr Bash (an alias for someone else). Mr Bash, if I use brace expansion with the dot-dot idiom, ie like this:

echo -e {πŸŒƒ..πŸŒ…}{🌍..🌏}{πŸŒ‘..🌚}" "

why does that not work when

echo -e {πŸŒƒ,πŸŒ„,πŸŒ…}{🌍,🌎,🌏}{πŸŒ‘,πŸŒ’,πŸŒ“,πŸŒ”,πŸŒ•,πŸŒ–,πŸŒ—,🌘,πŸŒ™,🌚}" "

will? Maybe I've not ordered the elements properly. Well that little snippit doesn't work that well but t

The following poem is fresh, whipped up, off the cuff.

Water in the bathroom runs along the floor.
She had to have this house but she always wanted more.
Now she has to have the cabinets and the trunk
and different types of nooks in which she stuffs her junk.

   She's an
        Operational
      Imposter.
She's got pain and heart break to foster
division and disunion and disolution and pain
all for the purpose of eggrigious gain
and she gets to listen in.
  she gets to listen in.

  And I can't
  drive her no more.
  I won't
  driver her no more
 not to the store
 or her new lover's door
while her husband is caring for kids.

  Praise God!
