“I absolutely 100 percent tried.” is the quote from the arresting officer to the husband of the famous actress. People, when you are getting arrested, you've already crossed the line. There is no talking them out of it. If you try to talk them out of it you are then considered to be impeding or, even worse, resisting. Bottom line: most police are matter-of-fact and do not, in fact, have any animus or ill-will toward those who they are charged with arresting. By the time they are arresting you, you have already proved yourself a nuisance. If you really want it to be easy you then assist. Try to think about this if you are getting arrested: the officer probably didn't really want to arrest you but you did somehting in full view and, legally, he/she has to arrest you because otherwise they might be accused of favoritism. Because profiling could happen nowadays everything that happens during a pull-over gets video-recorded. This is done to protect all of the people involved. And so we get to see the behavior of the famous actress. And what we see many find humorous. It is a good chance for soul-searching for Resse.
Reese was out-of-control. Being drunk really isn't an excuse. I would blame it not on drinks, but also because of the 'stand-by-your-man' thing that wives do. Her husband was getting arrested and she was hoping to stop it. She admits she was drunk.
Ya, we love her. And her movies have often been based in Massachusetts or Boston, and I'm all for that. So, all in all, she was a total jerk, but we can forgive her for it. And also we can learn from her by not doing what she did.
When you are being arrested think more about the well-being of the police officer, who is compelled to arrest you (probably because of your own fault) then of yourself. You will thus exude an authentic positive vibe which the arresting officer will sense. Ask yourself how many officers have been killed by errant drivers while those officer were performing their duties. These police are often seriously injured, or killed, during a routine traffic stop. Being a traffic cop is a very dangerous job.
When you realize that getting run down by an errant driver is the way that very many officers die, or are maimed for life, hopefully you will awaken your own humanity and prevent yourself from being a jerk to the police as they do their job. Realize that at a traffic stop the police officer faces the most danger. The next time you get pulled over realize that the officer is putting himself (or herself) in danger just for doing his (or her) job.
I finally got back down there thursday night. They have set up a memorial at Copley Square right on the corner closest to bombing (right across from the Boston Public Library). How many times have I walked down through there with my camera? Well, I stood where I have stood before and took the same piccture that I had taken before (a picture from the same spot). I've posted that one here on this page, maybe in the Message column. I'll post the other picture when I get to it.
One of my favorite places to have a quick bite in Boston is on Boylston Street, right across from the Prudential Building. Here is a picture. Right near there I took this picture.
Notice that there is a line across the road. That is where the Boston Marthon ends. Here is another one near the same spot, also from 2006.
Very cool. Things are open again down on that block of Boylston that is so convenient and central to a great hike through the vast canyonlands of Boston. Hip-pea-hurray and Hallalueyah! Praise the Lord!
The three mayors: a class act!
Supposedly, according to nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/joan-takes-serious-shot-katie-happy-hout-article-1.13727790 Katie Couric asked Joan Rivers why she says 'nasty' things about celebrities? Anyone interviewing a world class comedian who needs to ask that question, knows little about comedy and ought to feel embarrassment to have asked such a question. Comedians say things that touchy people feel are 'nasty' because it is funny!

well . . .
I think I've blogged enough today.
content goes stale and making it spin just makes it suck even more if it really does suck. If the content is anygood unless the spining has some function it might become quickly tiring.
~ OK Now.
Banish Nonsense was his scree. I'd have to delete this whole website!
There are new features here that are annoying at times but fun in some ways. This page is best viewed with firefox. Chrome doesn't seem to pick up all the rocking. This is very cool: angle spin gauge or John Barents Carousel. Because this page is rocking. Rocking rocking rocking. What it is, he said, what it is. The problem is, what it is. Span Rocker.Paper Sizes. envelope sizes. Look at this sample page and have some fun with it.
Thank Veterans profusely and unexpectedly!
I went to drink form that river but the draught had made it low and mirky all the things that should be in the flow down in the ledge that is below the fish flopping in the hollow spots where the puddles are. Do I pray for rain? Or have I got it wrong, don't do it right? can't feel it anymore? lost without the joy that I used to feel as a boy I cry out lamantatiously 'how long?' How long? if you keep thinking about it it might never stop being a problem. Praise God!![]()
