The Left Column OK, so the election has gotten ugly. How is it that a multinational harvard-lawyer like Obama thinks he has any idea what is going on in the minds of rural Pennsylvanians is beyond me. If I make a statement about what 'such and such' group thinks I am sure that I will be told that I am wrong by someone! I had an acquantance who said that people between the coasts were yahoos and gunthumbing bible shooters . . . or other statement of obviously predjudice. This guy didn't even know anyone from Ohio as far as I know. If we see people as categories and stereotypes then we think like a bigot and even if we don't know it, we say things that are bigoted and use the verb 'cling' when discussing believes of strangers who we don't even know. Too bad that they brainiacs in the politics industry couldn't have come up with three better people. I'm not bitter. I'm not clinging. April 17, 2008
