Politics for Poets

Nov 6, 2012

Aah, sweet. Today the election madness is over. Now they can get on with counting. Hey, every body, let's really count. So if you want to count, and have the future look kindly on you, accept the outcome in a peaceful way and with serenity. We don't morph into beasts if the wrong person wins, do we? anyone who would suggest such is being . . . derisive towards their political opponents.

"Sweet midnight, with your change, spread the cloud serene upon our scene and keep us peacible in the rain. In the rain. In the rain. Wind and rain."

    the details of a room
that no body notices when they are in there
   in the heat of battle
with sexes and hexes of the vexations
  of cursing nations.
She places the antique rice paper folio
      back into it's sheive
and heads back to Mass. avenue
and the turqouise glitter shop for silver
    during the holidays.

here is a song fragment:
   A hard hearted Rasta
  A full plate of pasta
   a boss who says 'has-ta'
    and he's being a bastard.

  In the bigger world
     every-body knows
you can never make a girl
             like that
     happy.

  It's a brighter day.
   bup bup ba
you can never make a girl
       never make a girl
     like that
     happy.

 He should have known.
    every-body said
     he really ought to try
        try and do better.

  But he loved her true.
   wouldn't you?
      he
   doesn't regret
    anything he has today.

   In the bigger world
     at the summer feast
      when the sun is high
          and the day is warm
      everybody's going to have
      lobsters.
       And dancing with mobsters.
  They're all having lobsters.
      his boss is a monster.
  you're all having lobsters.
   dancing with mobsters.

   Your boss is a baastard.
     he says that he hasta.
  have to.
 you're gonna have to
     you're going to have two
   ewe ewe ewe
     you're going to have to
   do
what ever he tells you to.
   baup baa
       baup baa
      baup baa
 you're going to have to
   you're going to have two
    he's going to have two
   he's going to have to
      dada da dant da
    da da

  In the bigga world
  everybody knows
   every body know ho hoes
  It's a brighter day
     everybody knows
  it's only going to get
      better.

   It's a brighter day
    everybody knows
   it's only going to get
       better.

          baup baup baa
       baup baa
  baup baup baa baup baa.

baup baup baa
       baup baa
  baup baup baa baup baa.

  It's a brighter day
    everybody knows
   it's only going to get
       better.
