Politics for Poets

Wake up!

When ages end there isn't always a moment that everyone knows is the end of that age, passing away. Sometimes we know. Sometimes the obvious nature of change is too overwhelming to deny.

We are not living in such times. There has been no change in power in the West or in the United States, the same groups or entities are still pulling the strings. They aren't going to give up control because mostly they are doing a good job. And they don't all work in consort, so it isn't easy to change things even if you delude to having a power to bully-through effectatious 'change'. Some people imagine that bully-politics is heroic because the ends, so they imagine, justifies the means. Many bullys, once they get their way, become habitual in doing it. Sound like any poltical people you may have observed or read about?

It you try to be a hero you will probably have a tough go at it.

I think I've blogged enough today.

Life goes on.

It was a poem, no just a
        fragment of a poem without
    rhyme, without
      reason,
     the can opener,
      a box of canned peaches
a small map of Georgia and the
image of a farm maiden with
               a bushel of peaches
     that she is showing
                to the customer.
A farm house at the edge of it,
       an antique tractor,
 orchard tree horizon
        and a Brown Trush.
