Well, OK, they are not all of the rage. They want rage. They want to incite people into rageful action.

A kid with a super-hero complex who thinks he's in law enforcement?

Today I noted that the name of one of the black-mask wearers was revealed in court in CA. The article is on the Oakland Tribune website. it is by Angela Woodall and titled "Antioch man arrested following Occupy Oakland general strike remains jailed", linked here:http://www.insidebayarea.com/bay-area-news/ci_19286264

we can read the story about the kid (I call him a kid because he is under the age of 26 and I am twice that age), whose parents can't afford the 1500 dollars to post his bond. Seems the kid likes to play super-hero, complete with black mask. Is this a provocateur or just a young-man with a super-hero complex who thinks that he is being and acting heroic? I guess this young man will have a lot to talk about. Let's hope that he smartens up. When officers of the law are doing their work (and most of these guys are union guys, these police officers) you either assist or you stand aside. If you are in a place where rioting is occurring you can't expect these officers to be nice to you. If things happen to a guy wearing a ski-mask over his face, ya, there may be a need for an investigation of the officers but . . . the guy with the ski-mask is probably at fault.

Those kinds of masks are awesome for what they are designed to do: keep your face warm in sub-zero temperatures. They are customarily not worn inside. They are not worn walking into schools or public buildings. They are removed to reveal your face to police and security personal (on duty). You can say whatever you want about 'free speech' and that the person with the mask has a right to wear it 'to make a statement'. Go ahead. Make that argument and maybe win that in court with a liberal judge (who will use it merely because he/she feels sorry for the stupid kid who isn't street smart and has a super hero complex). You take a look at this kid and see what he did and treat him as an individual case. If it were a Halloween party and the mask was a getup, then fine. If it is for use in a mascarade, then fine. But to wear one as an act of cowardice or to try and be 'super' . . . seems to many to be stupid and juvenile. Am I supposed to use a term that is kinder for an 'agitator?' As an independent observer of the situation in Oakland (and of many of these high-profile street-theater power-elite stage-show protests) I guess, if I was actually giving that brat the run-down on his behavior . . . and how it is less-than adequate . . . I might suggest the term 'brain-dead', but the kid was running around and (alledged) to be interfering with arrests. So I could use the term 'less than smart', which I guess might be considered 'dim-witted', another good term for a black-mask-wearing super-hero wanna-be at a protest. Maybe the term 'blunderous mistaken thoughts and behaviors', but that is an awful lot of sylibles and when people plagerize this and use it for copy the teleprompter readers might stumble over the words. If you clip this, then just give me credit. I'd like to think that this is good engough to steal. But you can be honest and license it, too. Just get in touch and let me know that you want to use my rants. And give me full credit. We'll make a deal. It'll be good for your business. (ok, enough plugging myself. I think I'll pull the plug on myself now and end today's little rant about the world and the lack of poetical politics. Too political and not poetical enough.

  How many times
   have I gone there in my mind?
  A confessional poem
     a forest to roam.
  No one was home.

    And those old notebooks
  that I wrote at the old lean-too
  having run away
    the sky iced-over and grey
     midnight with an itermitent moon.
 
  That knoll
     where once the lean-too
   was a sanctuary
      now, the site of a suburban home.

  How many dreams 
    have I forgotten,
   some house, some
     stone wall along an old state-highway,
    used to be the main road
  but now it has an 'A' attached.

    4 AM atop a firetower

  When a tired mind makes it time
    to be a stumbling down the 
    mountain side
     at a late , or early hour?

  When the beer's all gone
   the empties collected,

   from the mountainside
    and all are fine.

  Driving back to their many homes
   they side trip for a coffee jones.

  It's pancakes at 
   5:30 AM
    and square eggs.
