Will they do this now for Every Politician?

When someone seems to me to be an elegant Christian Lady, I give her a lot of slack. I don't care about her politics. And I do find many things that I could discuss with her about what she believes, what I believe, what Jesus might believe, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. And I know that there will be a lot to disagree about and I won't mind this. I will approach her as the fair and open-minded person who a good Christian will be. And I know that I might have to tell her what I really think and why she is wrong. She will listen. Maybe I will make her anger. She will then examine herself and see what it is that is making her loose her cool and have a teaching moment.

When someone is an elegant Christian Lady she isn't in Heaven yet. She's still down here, a sinner. She's not perfect. She's not saying that she is. Or if she has fallacies of thought to which she adhere that she imagines are Christian but, to me and others, might be misinterpretation, well . . . she might be from a different scet. She is not a Catholic. She might be a Pentacostal. And I know what that means and what some of the things she might say that might be questioned by clergy of other deomenations.

Do we say that a Pentacostal can not and should not be a candidate? What is it with people that they can't look at the policy decisions as being just that. Is there really so much hate against people of a different denomination so that they are assassinated in the press and their emails glommed over by the many legions of craven minons (all looking for dirt so they can say 'see, see, she really is a bad bad bad person and a hypocrite.' If she were a badd badd person and a hypocrite she'd be just like pretty much every other human being on earth too. We all have skeletons in our closets or danced tripping at an outdoor summer show and crawled across a golf course in the haze of the dusk while the music played far away. Aren't we all human too?

But no, she must be somehow tainted. They're supposed to be freaks for Jesus not writing policy for various institutes. They simply aren't ready to accept that view of Christian warriorship like Pentacostals promote in government. They don't want true believers coming down to Washington and telling them they can't rip living wind from the canyons anylonger. We don't like these many policies and here is how we want to change them. They want their Pentacostals believeing that the government is somehow connected with the Rapture so they are off in the hinterlands, like scared sheep lost in the blizzard of the buerocracy and duitfully paying their taxes. Don't give them a seat at the Brookings Institute. No Pentacostal need apply at the IMF for the job of Director of Personell. Won't you take our 'employment test' so we can measure your level of hypnotizabilly-perillity?

And so she is villified. They can't imagine that the bulk of us are smart enough to know better, that she isn't presidential. But they don't give us credit. They can't have her so they chew her up, spit her out, treat her as a villin, scuriously pour over her emails . . .

Think of the waste? Now, to be fair, they have to do this to every politician. What is she saying on Twittledee? Did she post a new pick on Facecrook? Can we fake an email with a picture of a congress-dudes crotch? I thought it was Weinergate, but now I hear it's rumoured there may be pictures with Weiner out of the gate. And you know that the NSA records every phone call and can listen to it after the fact whenever they want to. They can't use it in a court of law but . . . if you are a heinious creep I am sure that they will find out about you. But they are not in the business of being killjoy dim bulbs out there trying to stomp on everyone's parade. So what there might be requirements as to hypnotizibilly-perillity, but that is just a fact of life. So they've been hypnotized by the truth. And they don't have to listen to the fools who put them there anymore. They can and will do the right thing which means letting people be free. And they don't care about pictures of some congress-dudes weiner unless he's selling secrets or murdering people.

Life goes on.

  If she was bothered by the wind
  she didn't let on about it.
    I listen to her drone on for a long hour
      then another. Then another.

  When you sign up for these things
    you never know what you're getting yourself into.
  And I've never enjoyed the company
    of chatty female strangers
      without their men
      no matter how pretty they are.
      
  But if she were silent.
     She'd direct her silence against the
      bare soul cliff-face heart ache
    masking itself as bubbles and sun-bows
     
     did I see
      unicorns dancing in the bulevard?
    20,000 kids drinking for the day?
     who's that naked?
    I'm not printing that picture here.

  finally when she batted me on the arm
    I let into her, really let her know what I think.
   There's all of us here.
   We've all had to wait all day to get this far.
   And no one else
    wants to hear 
    anymore from her
 so why doesn't she just
     shut up.

  I don't like to 
    loose my cool
   in front of strangers
  and possible mystic
   fellow travelers
  out over the storm
  with rough weather
  and silent thoughts
   of the holy dead.
