Poem Shards

On the beach
   next day
 Out on the beach that day
     they spread out their happy
                    sunshine blankets,
  giant quilted orange and yellow sun
       in a royal blue field
   surrounded by stars, planets and
           portents of good fortune.
     a needlework commet
       in a ceropsis yellow
   adorned to the side
       like last night.
